Jumping from One Product to Another, Sebo’s Experiences have Led Him to be PAYFAZZ Software Engineer VP.
Starting his career here at PAYFAZZ on June 2017, Sebo just worked with 19 other FAZZMILY members. His curiosity about building a startup encouraged him to work with a smaller team, which motivated him to join PAYFAZZ at the time.
Sebo was once an Android Developer in one of the biggest unicorn technology startup company that democratizes commerce through technology in Indonesia. Having experience as an Android Developer, Sebo was entrusted to takeover the development that at PAYFAZZ to scale even faster. It takes about a year until then he focuses on PAYFAZZ money-transfer product. Before dealing with money-transfer product, he was in charge to develop an e-wallet product called CASHFAZZ, passionate with system programming, Sebo was a bit challenged when he was, again, entrusted to operate something bigger: a team.
His team is contains people who already have what it takes to do the programming itself. From Infrastructure to UI/UX, Software Engineering to Mobile Application Development, all of that is now under his supervision. Jumping from one role to another in two years, developing many engineering activities at PAYFAZZ, Sebo is now #TakingTheLead as Software Engineer VP.
Along the way, Sebo is interested to learn more about people management. Little did others know that it takes more than what it seems to manage people, it takes soft skills that we could all learn by experiencing from the day-to-day real work. At PAYFAZZ, everyone is aligned with the other team, and we always have at least another division to work with. But as Software Engineer VP, Sebo used to absorb all the needs from related division to develop a system or a product. Dynamically working to take care of each improvement happened on each system or product development is his daily work.
However, Sebo still cares about his personal life, and he won’t make his work causes him to experience burnout. With that being said, Sebo is aware that time management is important, that’s why Sebo is responsibly maintaining his work life & personal life balance by not letting one of them take over too much from another. Being #EagerToGrow at work has encouraged him to learn and observe more about maintaining people.
Within the past 2 years, PAYFAZZ has been the place where Sebo can explore so many product development processes with different teams and different people.
