To stay ahead of the game and hit your mark, you’ll need to cultivate power habits. There are many activities you do without paying much attention to, but those small mundane habits can change the way you live. These essential habits or rituals will make your life this year smooth like a running river.

Book Worms — Successful people are the biggest book worms. It’s nearly impossible to tear a book out of their fingers. Every single thing you read instantly fills a place in your head, and you’ll never know when you need that useful information. The more knowledge you have, you’ll be equipped to face any challenge at work or in life. Spend an hour reading a book or article of your choice. You can start off with a light book or article, and move up to harder materials as you go.

Rise and shine — Being 15 minutes late is definitely not a power habit. Tardiness is an unattractive trait that won’t get you very far in life. Instead of running around the house like a mad storm trying to get to work on time, wake up earlier so you can have a peaceful morning. You can use the spare time you have in morning to eat a proper meal, cook, or even to exercise. According to Tom Corley’s research (author of Change Your Habits, Change Your Life) , about 50% of millionaires get out of bed at least three hours before their workday starts. Many of them use the free time to plan the day ahead or work on their own personal projects.

Routine — Routines will help you stay mentally healthy and stable. Your mind, body, and soul will definitely be grateful for a proper routine. Without taking the time to plan and prioritize your task for the day, you’ll be stuck in a chaotic mess — and you’ll get less things done. Taking time to set a routine doesn’t mean that your day will be strict and mundane. A solid daily routine can actually make your life easier and carefree. Before leaving for work take 20 minutes to plan a routine. Your day will be organized and you’ll get all your work done.

Sleep — Sleep is more important than you think. Trying to be productive at work will be tremendously hard when all you’re thinking about is taking a nap. An average person needs about seven or eight hours of sleep every night. Lack of sleep impairs attention, alertness, concentration, and problem solving. As a result, it makes it hard to work efficiently.

Time keepers — We’ve all heard the saying: “Time is money”, yet we still take it for granted. Time is crucial, so be wise about the things you spend your time on. Instead of binge watching on Netflix until dawn, invest your time to something more productive. When you realize how priceless time is, it will motivate you to accomplish more.

Everyone has their own way to reach their mark, but there are certain habits that are needed to be able stand out in the crowd. We are challenging you to add one of our habits to your life today! By adding these power habits to your daily life it will be difficult to miss you.
