Foreword

In the blockchain world, the number of real users is only about 1–2% of the total internet users worldwide. This is why we target the “Web2 Users”.

This article will also introduce our mental journey and why we choose it.

Web3 — Period of DApp and DeFi on Ethereum

Before founding FDC, our founders developed a variety of DApps and DeFi products on Ethereum. We understand deeply that simply creating projects cannot effectively increase user adoption, and it is very likely that many unused projects will be created.

The internet is a spectrum, and currently, the only way to join the Web3 world is by bridging the gap directly from Web2. However, this is not a correct and effective approach. It’s better to start from Web2.5 and gradually guide users into the web3 world.

Web2.5 — LaaS

To bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3, we believe that it is important to provide users with a seamless and accessible on-ramp to the blockchain world. This is why we have chosen LaaS (Login as a Service) to eliminate the learning curve for users who want to use wallet and blockchain services. By leveraging LaaS, users can easily access blockchain-based services without having to navigate complicated processes and technical jargon. This approach not only makes it easier for users to enter the blockchain world, but also helps to increase adoption and drive growth in the ecosystem.

Web3 — TON Blockchain

Recently, we have also explored TON Blockchain, which has a friendly relationship with Telegram and boasts 700 million real users. By connecting Telegram and TON Blockchain, we can align with our goal of bringing more users into the blockchain ecosystem.

Telegram has been a popular messaging app among Web2 users, and its integration with TON Blockchain will bring a large number of new users into the blockchain ecosystem. This will also enable current Telegram users to use TON Blockchain without any additional effort. The potential of connecting Telegram and TON Blockchain is immense and can significantly contribute to achieving our goal of increasing user adoption.

During the TON Blockchain hackathon, we also quickly created a symbolic challenge — a MultiSig wallet — and were able to secure a winning position.

The hackathon posed several major challenges, as TON is not based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and has scarce technical documentation. Additionally, implementing a MultiSig wallet requires intricate cryptography and interaction with smart contracts.

It sounds very exciting, doesn’t it?

Come and join us in creating the future together! Please allow me to translate this for you.

Conclusion

In conclusion, bridging the gap between LaaS, Telegram, and TON Blockchain can lead to more users joining the blockchain world. By focusing on Web2.5 users and leveraging the existing user base of Telegram, we can accelerate the growth of the blockchain industry and bring our goal to reality.
