This Canadian Man is Accusing a Well-Known Politician of Sexual Assault

Not only do I believe him, I stand with him. His accused assaulter is a Canadian Minister of Education.

The hashtag #IBelieveKyle is trending on Twitter in Canada.

And my heart sings at the sight.

Because, as a survivor of sexual assault, I stand with fellow survivors. When someone steps forward to accuse another person of sexual assault, I believe them.

I personally know that there is no fame in stepping forward. It’s a humiliating and traumatizing experience.

And while women make up the largest population of sexual assault survivors, men are sexually assaulted as well.

Regardless of gender, we all stand together.

Fraternity hazing gone very wrong.

Hazing remains a criminal issue in Canada to date.

In 2018, 6 male students were charges with sexual assault in light of disturbing details of hazing coming to light.

And before this, Kyle Ashley was just another university freshman, hoping to join a fraternity and become part of a campus family.
