Why J.K. Rowling Is the Perfect Example of White Female Victimhood

Your story doesn’t give you the right to abuse others.

Let’s start with this right off the bat: no one’s story of abuse should ever be downplayed. If you suffered abuse at the hands of anyone, you deserve to be heard. And your story can make a great deal of difference to others, which is why it’s a powerful thing when you choose to share it.

But your story cannot ever overshadow another’s story when you are using your story to advocate for abuse against someone else.

Someone needs to tell JK Rowling that.

JK Rowling’s recent “open letter” is nothing short of a white, cisgender woman using her story to quiet others and advocate for abuse for one of the most targeted groups of people.

If you haven’t been following what’s been happening, this past weekend, Rowling opted to share an article where the headline mentioned: “people who menstruate”.

She added the caption, “People who menstruate. I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

She then went on a long thread where she claimed that trans people, by calling themselves women when their genitalia is male or vice versa…
