Imagining Spring

I stand and I look to the sky with glee,

Shaded by the overgrown maple tree,

The wind whistles around as I write,

Birds way up high begin their great flight,

The warm air surrounding me gives me a smile,

It’s been an awful and cold long while,

My exposed toes feel moist in the growing grass,

I’d better enjoy this weather while it lasts.
