On Monday September 26, 2022 Good As Burgers hosted a meet and greet with Senator Raphael Warnock for local Artists, Creatives, and Entrepreneurs. The GABS House on Terry Street in Atlanta made space for the campaign event where Senator Warnock reminded everyone in the room of their power, and of the importance of making the decision to exercise that power by voting. He encouraged us to be an influence during the current election season.

Warnock made history in the special election runoff in 2020, and he is aware that it feels like didn’t we just do this? He reminded us that “what we do or what we fail to do in this moment is a letter to our children, and our grandchildren, it’s a letter to the future. Don’t let this moment pass.”

Artists, Creatives, and Entrepreneurs have a unique ability to captivate and motivate people through the passion and execution of their work. Each have a special way of building, connecting, and inspiring community. And since there is a lot at stake concerning our human rights and so much more, the meet and greet call to action was for those with the power of connection and influence, to use it!

Warnock relayed, with urgency, “there’s no such thing as Election Day….we’re now talking about election season. We can’t wait until November 8th”.

Early voting begins October 17th. Commit to voting early, and make sure family, friends, and personal community do the same. For Georgia early voting information, visit: https://elections.sos.ga.gov/Elections/advancedVotingInfo.do

“LET’S BUILD ONCE AGAIN THE KIND OF MULTI-RACIAL, MULTI-ETHNIC, MULTI-RELIGIOUS, MOSAIC OF HUMANITY THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE THE LAST TIME, AND LET’S DO THIS ONE MORE TIME.”

REVEREND RAPHAEL WARNOCK, U.S. SENATOR FOR GEORGIA

It is equally exciting, inspiring, and amazing to witness how the GABS brand has evolved since it’s birth in 2020. It has contributed to the mosaic of humanity Warnock described — grabbing people by their tastebuds, and inspiring them to find new ways to be better. Now, GABS has served as a backdrop for connecting community to one of its strongest pillars, the makers and representatives of policy.
