Appreciations are a most underrated driving factor for one’s success. The happiness of receiving appreciation for our work stands beyond money.

Also, many researchers have proved that the people who are often appreciated for their work tend to be more productive and efficient than those who don’t.

Let’s speak about a incident that happened in Edison’s life which turned out to be the seed for his innovations and healthy discoveries.

During his childhood, he returned from his school and went to his mother to deliver a letter from his teacher saying “My teacher gave me this letter and asked me to give it to you”.

His mother’s face slowly started to change and after completing the read, Edison asked her, “What’s written in that, mom?”.

Her reply was, “You teacher has mentioned that you are a great student ever seen in her life, your way of thinking is just extraordinary and says you are capable of even changing the world. Also, they mentioned that their school is not apt for your level of skills and she has requested us to migrate to a better school which could grow your skill more and more”.

In the following years, as said by his mom, he started his game of changing the world through his great inventions and his out-of-box thinking.

Many years later, Edison’s mother passed away due to severe health issues and after that incident, Edison enters his mom’s room and finds her diary there.

While reading her diary, he finds a piece of folded paper inside it, which was the letter given to him by his teacher. He was very much shocked after reading the letter and literally started crying.

The letter mentioned, “Your son is addled, he can’t cope up with our education system, he is too low for our standards and we can’t lower our reputation for the sake of your son. We won’t let him come to school anymore.”

After crying for hours, he wrote in his diary that, Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.”

Conclusion:

Just imagine a butterfly effect scenario like his mother read out the exact thing present in the letter and Edison started believing that he is not fit for the existing world. A lot of events would have drastically changed and we people wouldn’t have known a person named Thomas Alva Edison, the genius.

Those few words from the mouth of his mother have taken him so far in his career and made him a real-life genius who created a revolution in human life history!!
