Nearly every type of industry is using barcode technology since it is much faster. Our project is about an automated library door opening and closing system using this barcode technology. This system is mainly used in schools, colleges, and in public libraries also. A person who wants to take books should have an account in the respective library. Before entering the library, the host should scan the RFID card to the barcode scanner. The scanner checks the barcode and detects the face. If the database matches the security system it lets you in. Instantly the security camera will be on. Then the reader can take any books from the library they need.
The host should follow the standard rules like bags are not allowed in, scribbling and tearing of books are not allowed. The host entering and leaving time will be saved by the system. The advantage of the system is that the host can scan his / her book without the help of the librarian. The special feature is that the renewal date will be mailed to the account holder as a remainder. If the host failed to return the book on time, a penalty message will be sent to the mail. This service is available all day making all libraries work 24/7.
