A recap and outlook on the future

2023 already has been an exciting year in the memecoin space for many communities and indiviuals out there, recent rises of projects have been live changing for some.
Nontheless even though it is just May, at the time creating this, it has also been a year of many changes for DogeTools!

Through the beginning of 2023 the team and community hosted as well as paritcipated in numerous community focused events and activities. The biggest to mention of those is by far the official Battle of the Grants, hosted by the Dogechain team themselves!
For those of you, who are not familiar with it here follows a short explanation:

The DC Battle of the Grants
The Dogechain team posted a weekly official tweet on the Twitter account for 4 consecutive weeks on which every participating DC project could comment with a related meme and collect points through their own community engagement. (eligible ways to earn those points was through comments, retweets and likes on the published project posts)
After some exciting battles, unexpected upsets and a fun and very uncommon semi final, we managed to succesfully finish on top of the competition — all thanks to our supportive and great community!

Shortly after we got to host our own event the Security Week, all around useful tips and explanations how to stay safe in the wild memecoin spaces out there.

First Philantrophy event — Furry Frens Weekend
Within the same month we also hosted our very first charity event, the Furry Frens Weekend on which we collected tips through the Tip-Bot and generated funds with our 2023 commemorative NFTs, which were specifically created for these charity purposes.

Quickswap Migration
Moving forward in time the most major changes and updates for DogeTools were yet to come!
At the end of March the team was pleased to announce the biggest step for project so far: DogeTools will be the first Dogechain project to migrate over to QuickSwap — the most used and established DEX on the Polygon Network.

With the migration not only the DEX has changed, since the intial contract included a hardcoded function which would not allow us to move over it was time for a relaunch with new Tokenomics and some important improvements with great benefits.
Updated Tokenomics:
- Supply grew by the factor 10 to 100million tokens
- Buy & sell taxes lowered to 3% each
- Transfer taxes got removed
With the last of these mentioned contract change all holders will from now on finally be able to use their tokens on the Tipbot, making DogeTools tip- and rainable!

We, therefore, want to, again, thank Eoghan, developer of Dogira on Polygon and Dogechain, for his unmesuarable help and contribution to this successful migration and relaunch.

Last but not least after all these technical changes we also had some adjustments on the team which included some former members leaving and Toad one of our developers and founders stepping down from his role on the team.
Nevertheless the future team is confident about stepping up on their roles and is looking forward to a bright future for the project and community!

With the end of 2023’s first month and many new members joining the community, the DogeTools team decided to host a Safety Week in order to make this Space a bit safer for everyone.

As the crypto market starts picking up again and more people begin to put their eyes on crypto currencies as potential investment opportunities — may it be the established main currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB or also so called “Memecoins” on the different blockchains.
However, since there are several risks that users can easily avoid, DogeTools has put together this Safety Week to arm you with helpful tips and tricks!

Let us begin with the first and definitely the most important advice to give everyone in this space:

1. NEVER share your seed phrase or private key with anyone!

For readers who might not know what a seed phrase or private key is:
The seed recovery phrase is a series of 12 to 24 simple words (like “army”, “energy”, “fabric”, “lucky”, “opera”, “stereo”, “trash”, or “void”)
Your recovery phrase unlocks your wallet, along with the private keys associated with all the crypto in the wallet.

Anyone with your recovery phrase can gain access to your crypto.
If you delete or lose your wallet without carefully saving your recovery phrase, you lose access to your crypto.

2. Always verify the contract address you’re going to buy!

Unlike as on CEX’s like Binance, Kucoin, Crypto.com, where you can simply swap i.e. USDT for ETH/BTC/DOGE and the offered currencies are regulated by the platform, on DEX’s everyone can launch a Token based on a smart contract.

Tip: When you want to buy such a created token, you use that specific contract address for that, before sending a payment, you should check the displayed name and post that address on a website like tokensniffer or for Dogechain you will be able to use our recently launched Detective Bot. It gives you all necessary information on the contract itself, its tokenomics and if it is safe to buy!

3. How about the Liquidity, is it burned or locked and if so how long?

Liquidity basically symbolizes the money which a contract owns in order to pay out its holder in case of possible sales.

The larger the holdings of someone are the higher is their price impact through a sale, for example if you hold tokens worth $500 with a liquidity of $5000 you’d have a 10%, which is comparably high, price impact on the token since the liquidity lowers by 10%.
In order to make it safe for investors to secure their money any time they wish to sell, the liquidity gets either locked for a certain amount of time i.e. 1 month during this period no one can access or change it, however it doesn’t necessarily need to be 100% locked.
Another option is to burn the liquidity, for that the amount is sent to a dead address on the matching smartchain, dead addresses do not have any owner so no one is able to move funds from there.

4. Rug pulls and liquidity drains

If neither of those earlier mentioned options can be proven through a transaction or contract interaction, there is a potential risk of getting rug pulled (rug pull = a sudden liquidity removal -> holders can’t sell their tokens anymore and lose their money)
Another risk would be a “slow rug”, therefore the liquidity gets drained step by step through a contract function, even if new investors buy and no one sold, the token still loses worth, ending up in the same situation of being totally worthless at some point.

Tip: In order to avoid these risks don’t buy any token without reviewing if the liquidity was either burned or locked, look for transaction hashes or on platforms like DexTools it gets marked with a green lock (locked) or a gray lock (burned or neither locked/burned)

5. Honeypots and changeable tax functions

A slightly different form of risk gets created through changeable taxes through a contract call. Taxes are set for buys and sells on a token and can be freely used/chosen by the dev(eloper) of the smart contract. The tax funds usually get used as Marketing funds to get exposure on your project, get added to the liquidity pool or in some cases get used as reflections to holders or buybacks of the contract tokens, depending on the created smart contract.
Those contracts use functions to set up these taxes up, if the ownership of the particular contract (the ability to change settings or access its functions) is not renounced there remains a potential risk that the owner, simply sets the sell tax to 99% which creates a “Honeypot”, money flows in but can’t get out.
Renounces work through contract calls, therefore the creator of the contract gives its rights to interact with it to another address which is not accessible for them.

Tip: Look out for contract check ups; these usually display buy/sell taxes and also provide you with the information if an ownership is renounced or not. If that is not the case it is not recommended to buy in on such a token unless there is a specific function which makes it necessary to be accessible. (Risk remains)

6. Slippage and MEV bots

A front-running bot scans pending transactions and pays a more significant gas fee so that miners process its transaction first to front-run a major trade that will affect market pricing.

How do crypto front-running bots work?
Ethereum’s or the blockchain’s design permits all submitted transactions to halt in a mempool, where transactions are waiting to be processed. The mempool can be scanned by miners or bots for appropriate transactions to be utilized for front-running in cryptocurrency trading.

Front-runner bots typically work on a millisecond timescale. For example, they may read a transaction from the mempool, compute the optimal transaction size, configure the transactions and then execute them in a fraction of a second. It’s impossible to compete when manually operating.
By putting a buy order on the same block and simultaneously setting a higher gas price, the bot front-runs particular slippage, trade volumes and gas price transactions.
This process is also often caused through using a higher slippage than necessary, many buyers experience Front run issues when buying in on “low”-tax or 0 tax tokens.

Tip: Always check on the tax of a token you’re planning to buy, adjust your slippage to a reasonable range above that. Examplary buying a token with a 0 or 1% buy tax, it’s not recommended to use a slippage of more than 0.5 or 1% higher to minimize the impact or risk of getting front runned.
If you’re looking to buy in with high amounts, it’s worth considering doing multiple smaller buys instead, since those are less attractive to snipe in order to make profit.

7. Hot and cold wallets

It’s quite easy to distinguish one type from another.
In simple words, all wallets that are connected to the internet are considered hot wallets.
Likewise, all wallets that are kept offline are cold wallets.
As such, hot wallets are perfectly convenient for everyday use (e.g. buying goods and services, transferring small amounts of crypto to friends or family, etc.), and come in the form of easily accessible software.
Contrary to hot wallets, cold storages are, in most cases, physical hardware wallet devices, designed for far more secure, long-term cryptocurrency storage for those that have significant amounts of digital assets that require strong security measures to protect.
So, it all boils down to one main difference between the two choices:
The level of security.

Tip: It’s recommended to store your main holdings and longterm investments on a cold wallet since this is not accessible from the outside and is therefore more secure than having a potential security issue through any form of (internet) connection.
For shortterm trades like buying “meme-coins” one advice would be to use a “warm” wallet (i.e. MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) it has an internet access, however unlike a hot wallet on a CEX (i.e. KuCoin, Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com etc.) your funds are not accessible/lockable by the platform/company which is offering their service to you.

DogeTools is all about security and safety, so what better way to ensure that than taking the extra time this week to become even more aware? From now until the end of the week, DogeTools will host a daily virtual event filled with activities related to safety.

The team has also prepared some helpful educational resources like checking companies who.
Additionally, they will provide an up-close look into their own platform which includes groups dedicated solely to keeping user data safe and secure. Such initiatives are becoming more important, especially in this digital age where information can easily get into the wrong hands — literally overnight.

2022 has been a rough year for many of us and also for the Crypto market in general, an ongoing bear market, inflation rates going up steadily, stock markets going down and in the midst of all this, a new chain has been born, further known as Dogechain.

However, the 13th of August wasn’t only the date the Dogechain went live, with its release there have been countless amounts of projects launching/users creating wallets and surrounded by ruggs, honeypots and false hopes, it was also the day on which DogeTools was created.
Let us begin with an overview of our so far deployed Tools and services!

Staking
15th of August

The first utility has been announced and as with most other long term thinking projects, DogeTools gives you the option to stake your Tokens, in addition maximize your gains while holding.
APY was up to 365% during the earlier times of the chain, has been changed to 75% and as of this point in time set to 15% to keep a healthy sustainability and distribution.
So far the community has staked more than 60% of the token supply.
With an all time high of ~63.3% being staked at the same time — which is pretty outstanding if one thinks about the fact that this covers 6,330,000 tokens.
This milestone was surpaced the first time on 4th of December!

DogeArch v1

This utility builds the biggest essential of utilities from DogeTools, which is modeled after the famous MoonArch platform on BSC.
So far the platform allows users to see new tokens minted on the Dogechain blockchain in real time as they’re minted
and displaying a direct link to the chart and DEX to purchase tokens on.
DogeArch gives traders the competitive edge to be able to find new possible gems, before everyone else.

The DogeTools Tipbot
24th of August

The Tipbot allows users to freely tip other users in any group which contains the bot as a member.
Anyone can simply reply with “/tip Amount Currency” and the tip will be transferred from one wallet to another, followed by a message from the bot confirming the transaction and providing a transaction hash next to it.
An additional function is “/rain Amount Currency 8” — therefore the bot will split the amount between the number of users added at the end (up to 8)
You might wonder how you tip anyone without knowing their wallet?
Here’s the answer:
The first time a user sends a private message to the bot and presses “/start” it creates a wallet address and private key which is importable to i.e. Metamask!
This way everyone can deposit and withdraw funds for/from tips and every future tip will be sent to this exact wallet.
It all started off with BNB and wDOGE at the end of August, during September, October and November we even have had up to 7 currencies added to the Tipbot, supporting tips in BUSD and WATER a Partnership project of DogeTools.

These NFTs grant holders access to exclusive features of the DogeArch v2 and also make great pfp’s for DOGE fans.
In addition to this there a 10 rare Pizza NFTs — which gets the person who minted it $25 sent to their wallet, as an homage to the guy who bought Pizza for his Bitcoin back in 2010.

Shortly after the time our latest Moderator joined the main Telegram group, she created a secondary group, for doing giveaways, small raffle parties or just to make it rain heavily on supporters of the project!

Dogechains main swap, which might also be a name to some of you, is Dogeswap, which in all honors have experienced some struggles and issues during the first month(s) of its existence.
ToolSwap created by DogeTools is built from a fork of the Dogeswap mechanism, operating in a way which allowed us to prevent many common issues the original site had.

Unique Utilities/Tools

At the time of writing this V2 whitepaper, the DogeTools project has currently been alive and running strong after 16 days. During this brief time of inspection from our stealth launch, the team has been working constant 12–16 hour days working on building new utilities and tools with the DogeTools brand to help fulfill our mission of becoming Dogechains biggest helper. The following paragraphs will outline the concepts, use cases, and impact of the few tools we have currently released. The team is and will continue to be constantly working to further develop and push the DogeTools brand.

Our first utility release was staking and a unique in house staking platform allowing holders and investors to stake their $DTools tokens and earn a daily yield of 1% by providing their tokens to the staking pool. Staking is always a must for a long term project and we put the emphasis on releasing staking early to give investors that extra opportunity to earn passive income, while diamond handing their bags. On top of that, staking is a big eye catcher to bigger/more long term investors and having a large amount of the supply staked by token holders shows a general trust and belief in the project and team from investors. Currently we have just over 30% of the total $DTools supply staked, showing the fruits of the labor of a strong diamond handing community.

Here at DogeTools we put a big emphasis on bringing additional revenue into the project and chart, outside of whatever may have been collected from any taxes incurred from transactions. So with that the DogeTools team decided to offer a KYC and Audit service to other up and coming projects that want to ensure they build a strong trust with their investors. We have realized that competitors are charging very high rates to perform KYC and Audit services so we are bringing the most cost efficient KYC and Audit service to the market, allowing smaller projects to have the opportunity to complete these 2 important task and hopefully making KYC and Audit the new norm in the shitcoin space. More updates will be done to DogeArch in the upcoming weeks and months, and more features will be added such as potentially a swap, wallet tracker, portfolio tracker, and much more. This is just the “bare bones” of the next great platform for crypto traders.

Following the release of the V1 DogeArch, the DogeTools team released what we think will be the next best utility and tool on telegram. The DogeTools tip bot allows you to tip anyone in BNB or wDOGE in any telegram chat that the bot is a member of. Simply set up a wallet in the bot by pressing start and the bot will automatically generate a new wallet and private key. This is your tip wallet and you are now ready to receive tips. To send tips, simply send BNB or wDOGE to this wallet and then you are ready to send a tip by simply replying “/tip (amount)” to anyone in a telegram group. You can add it to your main wallet platform by inserting the private key given to you and you will be allowed to send the tips you received to any wallet of your choosing. This is also a revenue generating utility for the dogetools project beecause a small fee from every tip is sent to a fee wallet that will be used to also buy back and burn the chart as well as ensuring the project has enough funds to complete daily operations. In just the short few days we have already seen the DogeTools Tip Bot starting to slowly take over telegram as more chats are using it daily. This means more constant income for the project as well as exposure.
