As you might know, we had an Events’ section in our main page already. Now you might be wondering if we already had that part in our platform, what this update is about? Here’s an answer — from now on, you’ll be able to navigate through/ see events from CoinMarketCal as well, along with what we post in Events’ section.

We are using CoinMarketCal’s API to fetch events (thanks to them & Zayed for making this happen) while also allowing people to submit to us those events that aren’t existing there (CoinMarketCal) so we can make them live/ published.

Our inner page relating to event is also to the point, making it easier for everyone to understand when the event occurs, what the event is about, and authenticity of happening of that event with source.

Shortly, we will be rolling out a feature which will allow people to mark an event duplicate if what we’ve posted already exists in our database fetched from CoinMarketCal. This would make the platform more accurate we believe and allow people to search for Events at ease.

It looks like this and is pretty self-explanatory. Anyways, we’d still like to let you know more about how our ‘Ratings’ system works.

It is divided into 8 parts initially (more to be added) which goes like this:

01 — Hype: This is where we rate the hype of project based on who’s talking about them, are there any big publications mentioning them, how many people are in their social media platforms, and how popular they are in the niche.

02 — Idea: Idea is necessary for any project to grow — the better the idea, the better the growth. This part is where we rate if the idea is ‘okay’, ‘good’, or ‘perfect’.

03 — Type: Type ratings are given based on the type of project. Project can either be a framework, a DApp, a blockchain, a sidechain, and relatable. The bigger the type grows, the better the ratings.

04 — Team: Team plays important role in pushing the project to its success. Teams are rated on Coinavy based on past experiences and how much they’ve contributed to the blockchain.

05 — Advisers: Advisers are rated based on 2 factors on Coinavy: 1- are they found in every single project there exists just for the % of tokens? 2- can they really advise projects to do good (do they have any knowledge of industry and how it works)?

06 — Token Metrics: Token metrics is a great initiative by Ian Balina — the process makes it easier to find out whether the investment is good or not.
Following are the things we look at when rating this part of project:

Total tokens

Token price

Hard cap

Sold on presale (if any)

Bonuses given in presale (if any)

Lockup on bonus tokens given in presale (if any)

Lockup on tokens given to advisers

Lockup on tokens kept for team

Tokens available for sale

07 — Prototype: We make it sure you are aware of ‘whitepaper projects’ thus adding this part is necessary. Rating prototype falls into 3 categories — no prototype, prototype exists but is scheduled to be shown in future, and prototype exists and is public.

08 — Need: Last thing we look at is whether there is a need for such project or is it just to grab money. A project that would aid scalability is rated higher than a project that introduces blockchain technology to artists.

An average of them all (8 parts) is then calculated accordingly and shows up as ‘Average Rating’.

With these these little and meaningful things in mind, we believe falling for next Confido should be hard.

And yes, in an upcoming update, these ratings can be edited/ suggested by users surfing the website so we are not considered as biased.

The biggest user-driven cryptocurrency informative and research platform to be, Coinavy goes live today [3/23/2017].

If you are not aware of what Coinavy does for you in v1 of platform — here are details:

1 — Coinavy initially focuses on ICOs, Whitelists, and Events.

2 — Coinavy makes it easier to select/ sort all of these events/ updates with this little ‘dropdown’.

2.1 — You can also search for events/ updates that are ‘live’/ ‘ongoing’ by checking the ‘Live only’ checkbox.

3 — Submitting data/ information was never this easy before. As stated before, Coinavy focuses on becoming the biggest user-driven platform for information and research related to cryptocurrency — it therefore is necessary for Coinavy to be taking anyone’s submission and making it public.

4 — Tags under each of post types make it easier to tell the story of what’s happening. If any event/ update is occurring, ‘live’ tag is added next to them. If any event/ update has to occur in near future, ‘x days to start’ tag is added next to them. If any event/ update has started, ‘x days to end’ tag is added next to them that tells when the expiration is expected.

5 — Researching ICOs has become easier with self-explanatory layout of Coinavy. It starts with a logo and description of what the project is about.

5.1 — Moving down below, you are shown an introduction video (if exists) about project that tells more of it.

5.2 — Below that, you get ‘tweets’ section so you don’t have to go to multiple websites in order to know what they are up to and how are things looking so far.

5.3 — Right side is where the magic exists; that’s where most of the required data fields are found that are needed in order for you to make better investment decisions.

5.4 — And you know the best part about that? Anyone can suggest edits and missing fields by clicking ‘EDIT FIELDS’ and submitting a form below that metrics section.

6 — Moving onto Whitelists, Coinavy believes you won’t be able to miss registering earlier for the next NEO with their Whitelist section.

7 — Apart from ICOs and Whitelists, keeping track of community events in crypto-world is also easier with v1 of Coinavy.

And yes, you can suggest edits and missing data if what you see is incorrect, in Whitelists and Events as well.

8 — Coinavy doesn’t give financial/ investment advice in v1 of platform and will never do in any of future versions.

9 — Coinavy is a platform built by Naeem Nur (founder of AcquiredBy) and Azeem (a student who codes and invests in cryptocurrencies — thanks to Ian Balina) for the love of Blockchain technology and its future.

10 — Coinavy’s official social media accounts to follow are: Twitter | Telegram | Facebook

11 — Coinavy can be reached at contact@coinavy.io or by filling this form.

Note: Coinavy will definitely have more features in future apart from what you see today.
