Many studies indicate that entrepreneurs might be impacted by different factors that eventually lead to failure. The purpose of this research is to explore the factors that might cause entrepreneurs to fail in becoming established businesses. According to the research, absence of motivation, poor cash flow, and incompetent organizational skills may be the factors that cause entrepreneurs to face failures. The results suggest that entrepreneurs who are affected by one of these factors or more may not be able to reach the stage of an established business which is a business of more than three and a half years.

INTRODUCTION

Ninety percent of entrepreneurs who build startups will fail (Patel, 2015). This is the truth of what most entrepreneurs are expected to face in the present day. Entrepreneurs are challenged by countless obstacles with a tremendous amount of pressure to survive in the heavily competitive market. While entrepreneurs are very optimistic concerning the ideas or solutions they bring into the market, most of them are not successful with the direction that they have decided to move towards. K Vaitheeswaran, a co-founder of the first e-commerce business in India called Fabmart.com, states that the path that entrepreneurs are on is difficult and there are many causes that make startup failed (Chengappa, 2017). A number of people desire to become an entrepreneur, but only some are successful in becoming one (Chengappa, 2017). It is crucial to know the causes that contribute to the failure of entrepreneurs and how can entrepreneurs avoid making the same mistakes that other entrepreneurs make. Thus, this research may potentially help future entrepreneurs to have a higher chance of survival, become successful, and established a sustainable and viable business. Some researches identify the factors that make entrepreneurs failed, but most of them contain various reasons that lead up to the failure, which is not condensed into one focused research in a specific timespan. There are 80% of entrepreneurs who failed their businesses in the first 18 months (Wagner, 2013). Research of a specific timespan is required to fill in the gap that is missing from other research. The factors that cause most entrepreneurs to fail in becoming an established business are lack of motivation, negative cash flow, and poor organizational skills.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Entrepreneurs can be difficult to define, and there are many definitions used to describe an entrepreneur. However, an entrepreneur can only be described in one simple definition. An entrepreneur is the one who recognizes any need and satisfies it (Nelson, 2012). Entrepreneurs could also be categorized into four stages. Potential entrepreneur, nascent entrepreneur, new business, and an established business (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, n.d.). In addition, the established business stage is defined as an entrepreneur who establishes a business for more than three and a half years (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, n.d.). In the recent years, there is an increase in entrepreneurial activity in some countries. In the United States, venture capitalists have invested their money in 3,995 deals, which totals to 29.4 million dollars in the year 2013 (Wade, 2014). By comparing to an earlier year, the growth is up by 7% in dollars and 4% in the number of deals (Wade, 2014). A successful entrepreneur can fuel the society with value and economic sustainability. However, the obstacles and challenges that entrepreneurs faced are proved to be harsh for them to survive. This causes most entrepreneurs to fail their business fairly quickly. By compiling a list of startup failure post-mortems to identify the causes of failure for startups, the top 20 causes are lack of a market need (42%), cash burnout (29%), incorrect team (23%), failed to compete (19%), problems with pricing or cost (18%), product unfriendly to the user (17%), make a product without a business model (17%), substandard marketing (14%), customers ignorance (14%), inappropriate timing for the product (13%), cannot focus (13%), no harmony within the team or investors (13%), bad decisions (10%), no passion (9%), failed to expand geographically (9%), lack of financing or investor (8%), legal difficulties (8%), lack of networking (8%), burnout (8%), and failed to make changes (7%) (CB Insights, 2018). This data may provide a glimpse into the issues that entrepreneurs are facing every day, which might eventually make them fall into one of the categories. The significance of this research is to identify what might cause entrepreneurs to fail in becoming an established business, which covers a specific timespan. It is important to identify the causes early, so entrepreneurs who currently have a business under three and a half years old can recognize the problem and take action on that particular problem. This research may also help people who are becoming an entrepreneur to avoid failing which can increase interest and entrepreneurial activity in the country or region as a whole.

1. LACK OF MOTIVATION

Motivation is key to the success of entrepreneurs, but most entrepreneurs lack the motivation to move forward as they may face failures and obstacles on their way to success. Performance of a firm can be affected by the lack of motivation of entrepreneurs which could make the firm face with unintended failure in the future if the matter is left overlook for a certain period. A study by Waita and Namusonge (2013) indicates that performance of a company may improve by focusing on promoting entrepreneurial motivation of the employees in various factors. Motivation is crucial for keeping entrepreneurs to be focused on achieving the goals that are set by the initial factors of motivation when they originally started the business. Entrepreneurs are affected by many motives when starting the business and the types of motive may determine the will to continue or discontinue the business altogether (Staniewski and Awruk, 2015). When entrepreneurs are facing various problems constantly, maintaining the motivation is essential in keeping the business running. Zimmerman and Chu (2013) suggest that most entrepreneurs in Venezuela have a motivation to increase their income when running a business despite the less developed economy they are facing continuously. Each source presents different angles of motivation as a factor that can impact many areas of both the business and entrepreneur which signifies the importance of maintaining or having motivation when running a business. The author agrees with the findings presented as many entrepreneurs decide not to continue their business since they lose motivation in the process of building a business which causes the company to suffer in performance and face closure in the end.

1.1 Motivation and performance

Performance of an entrepreneur that reflects on a business may be correlated with the motivation of the entrepreneur. If an entrepreneur is motivated in an environment that requires performance, he or she may thrive in this particular environment. In the culture that focused mainly on performance, an entrepreneur who is positively motivated is more suitable and competent in this kind of culture (Hopp and Stephan, 2012). If entrepreneurs require having a high performance in themselves or their business, motivation is the key to unlock that level of performance. Moreover, the motivational behavior of the entrepreneur may affect the business performance directly. The motivation of an entrepreneur may correlate with the performance of a business from the empirical evidence given (Jayawarna, Rouse, and Kitching, 2011). Business performance may rely on the motivation that entrepreneurs have on a daily basis, and it may also mean that if an entrepreneur did not have the motivation to do the business, the company might expect to fail. The motivation of the entrepreneur who runs the business could be a factor that impacts the level of performance of a company as a whole depending on the level of motivation that the entrepreneur has.

1.2 Motivation provides focus on goals

The initial factors that influence entrepreneurs to have the motivation are crucial for keeping entrepreneurs to focus on the original goals. The first reason that an entrepreneur has is the reason that drives motivation for an entrepreneur to keep moving forward. While the goal of an entrepreneur or the path towards an opportunity is important, motivation is needed to achieve the goals or to utilize the opportunity (Carsrud and Brännback, 2011). It is important that the entrepreneur has a clear focus on the goal and move towards it with motivation as the energy. In addition, the entrepreneurial behavior may be influenced by the motivation of an entrepreneur in pursuit of a goal. The motivation that Steve Jobs has largely impacted the founding of Apple in pursuit of an opportunity to build the PC (Shane, Locke, and Collins, 2012). The original goal is a strong driver that creates motivation that could keep an entrepreneur to always move towards a specific goal in mind. Motivation is required to drive the entrepreneur towards a goal, and it may be a factor that keeps the entrepreneur to focus on it.

1.3. Maintaining motivation to sustain business

An entrepreneur needs motivation in running a business on a daily basis to sustain the company long-term. For a business to be successful, motivation is a factor that helps the entrepreneur achieve the dream of running the business successfully. Winter (2010) states that there is much research that shows the positive correlation between achievement motivation and business success in entrepreneurial roles. The sense of achievement gives motivation to the entrepreneur to successfully run a business long-term. Furthermore, the habit of staying motivated is also a deciding factor in the failure or success of a business. If a person always has the habit of being motivated, this is a behavior that differentiates a disappointment and triumphs of small business (Hendricks, 2015). So, it is vital to stay motivated as a habit to be able to make a business survive and thrive. By always keeping the motivation high, an entrepreneur can succeed in the business fairly well in which motivation can come from the achievement in business and well-trained habits.

2. NEGATIVE CASH FLOW

Cash flow, which includes funding, is crucial for every entrepreneur to start off their business and to keep the business afloat. Entrepreneurs or ones who are starting a business perceive many obstacles including funding as one of the main hardships. Out of many hurdles reported, the students who are looking to start a business mentioned that funding and professional experience are needed to run their business (Staniewski, 2009). In addition, lack of stable cash flow could cause businesses to fail by eventually run out of money. CB Insights (2018) indicates that one of the top causes that make startups fail is simply lack of cash to continue the business. Moreover, small business is what most entrepreneur initially starts off by using funds of their own, but lack of cash flow is an issue that often kills small businesses. Pofeldt (2015) implies that by always checking the status of the cash flow of a business, the firm might be able to grow with increased revenue. The sources give a clear understanding of the issue that entrepreneur could encounter when running a business regarding the matter of cash flow. The author finds that the findings have a precise approach to the problem, and they are valuable in understanding the cause which might lead to the failure of a business.

2.1 Lack of funding

Funding is one of the main hardships that entrepreneurs are likely to face when setting up or running a business. People who experience a shortage of funds in running a business may be unconfident in their journey of being entrepreneurs. Many young people usually perceive themselves with a shortage of funds, experiences, and proper knowledge in starting or running a business which might cause them to feel insecure in the venture (Staniewski and Awruk, 2015). With this kind of behavior or mindset, entrepreneurs cannot succeed in the business they are pursuing which signifies the importance of appropriate funding of the firm. Furthermore, funding could be allocated to other parts rather the business itself to help entrepreneurs have the right education when conducting businesses. Staniewski and Awruk (2015) state that the financial aid which entrepreneurs receive might have greater use in allowing entrepreneurs to participate in training and other programs rather than funding the business. Soft skill is an important skill set that every entrepreneur should have and by refining these skills, entrepreneurs might have an easier chance of conducting a successful business. Thus, the importance of funding is critical in training entrepreneurs to have the right knowledge as well as having the sense of security when running a business.

2.2 Lack of stability in cash flow

A well-managed cash flow gives a business its foundation to grow and outperform competitors. Firstly, the foundation is critical for every business to have which also requires sufficient funding and good usage of cash. CB Insights (2018), suggests that insufficient cash of failed startups may relate to other causes which include the process of finding the customer of a product and fail to make the right changes to the business. As a company struggles to find its foundation, the firm might eventually run out of cash to do the necessary change to survive in the market. Secondly, having a more stable cash flow can help the firm survive and get ahead of the competitors. By having a well-managed cash flow, a company might be able to surpass its competitors with additional benefits of higher shareholder value and a lower chance of facing operational and financial risks (Deloitte, 2014). If an entrepreneur could manage his or her cash flow, the company may have a higher chance of surviving in a competitive market. The matter of stable cash flow is a topic in which every entrepreneur should have in mind when doing business as it may lead to a great foundation of prosperity and survivability in the market.

2.3 Poor cash flow leads to failure of small businesses

A small business is a starting point for some entrepreneurs who are looking to have a higher income, but the lack of cash flow could potentially fail the business. A small business might struggle to keep up with cash flow management which may cause the company to miss an opportunity to make a profit. Pofeldt (2015) mentioned that a company of any size might experience a problem concerning cash flow if the firm does not manage cash flow well enough. The important fact is that whether the company is large or small, a problem of cash flow could occur to any firm with poor cash flow management. Additionally, cash flow optimization may help the entrepreneurs to revive a business from the crisis that they might encounter. BDC (n.d.) states that Bonté Foods survive the problem concerning cash flow by carefully looking into the matter and apply extensive evaluation of the structure that the company has, including improvements. Entrepreneurs require looking deeper into the cash flow that they have and restructure it which might help the company to avoid closure. To summarize, poor cash flow may present an issue that could make a business fail, but if it is well-managed, the company could avoid failure and come out from a bad state.

3. POOR ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS

Entrepreneurs may not be able to succeed in business without possessing outstanding organizational skills. To succeed in business, entrepreneurs require having an exceptional understanding of how to organize a business using their organizational skills which is one of the skills that entrepreneurs must have. Entrepreneurial skills, including organizational skills, is the foundation of the success of a venture or business which includes the starting point, growth, and funding (Adeyemo, 2009). By having poor organizational skills, entrepreneurs could potentially face failure in business while other entrepreneurs with the skills succeed. Bonnstetter (2013) mentioned that to attain the desire achievement or goals, having planning and organizing skills are crucial, but most entrepreneurs do not have these skills in them to succeed. As entrepreneurs often venture into new businesses, the right education can help to enhance the organizational skills of the entrepreneurs which lead to the success of the venture. Elmuti, Khoury, an Omran (2012) find that knowledge acquired from entrepreneurial training have a positive correlation to improved organizational efficiency which may lead to a successful venture. The sources provide clear and valuable insights into the effects of poor organizational skills and factors that could help entrepreneurs improve their business ventures. The author concurs with the findings found in the research which could provide the understanding that entrepreneurs could be looking for in the matter of avoiding business failure by having poor organizational skills.

3.1 Organizational skills required to succeed

Success could be a result for entrepreneurs who possess adequate organizational skills. Education can be defined as an investment for entrepreneurs to achieve success in the future, especially for their entrepreneurial ventures. Unger, Rauch, Frese, and Nina Rosenbusch (2011) indicates that there is a statistically significant correlation between human capital and the success in entrepreneurship. While entrepreneurship education may be overlooked by both people who want to be entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, it is important to realize the fact that knowledge in oneself is beneficial to become successful in entrepreneurship. Moreover, communication as a part of organizational skill could improve the overall efficiency of the company which can lead to success. Root III (n.d.) states that communication is crucial for an organization to accomplish tasks efficiently which requires managers to relay information to other employees at various levels accurately. Organizational skills are more than just organizing people to the task; they are a combination of skills that work together to create a perfect harmony for the success of entrepreneurs. To sum up, organizational skills might help entrepreneurs to become successful if they invest themselves in entrepreneurial education and utilize the knowledge to its capacity.

3.2 Lack of organizational skills leads to failure

The lack of organizational skills could cause a business built by entrepreneurs to fail. Most entrepreneurs do not have the necessary organizing skill to manage a business which could lead to inefficiency in an organization. Bonnstetter (2013) finds that most entrepreneurs do not have planning and organizing skills and this may cause entrepreneurs to be at a disadvantage to other entrepreneurs. If most entrepreneurs fail to become an established business, the lack of these skills may hinder entrepreneurs to be at that stage while few entrepreneurs with the necessary skills succeed in doing so. Furthermore, planning is one of the essential organizational skills that may cause businesses to fail due to ineffective planning strategy. More than 60 percent of organizations do not have effective strategies for their businesses, including a strategy to lead (Wellins and Canwell, 2018). A plan or a strategy should be one of the top priorities for entrepreneurs when running a business which may help to avoid having to face failure as most companies do from the lack of planning. In conclusion, by possessing the required skills and effective strategies that few entrepreneurs have, the business might be more efficient and may have a lower risk of closure than most companies.

3.3 Successful venture by entrepreneurial education in organizational skills

A successful venture could be possible by entrepreneurs with the help from proper entrepreneurial education, particularly in organization skills. Organization skills are necessary skills for entrepreneurs to become successful in their ventures. Elmuti, Khoury, an Omran (2012) states that entrepreneurs are required to have three unique skills for success, including organizing skills which fall under technical skills, and entrepreneurs can obtain these skills by engaging in impactful entrepreneurial education. Education in entrepreneurship could return an excellent yield for entrepreneurs especially if they receive efficacious organizational skills for a venture. According to a study by Stamboulis and Barlas (2014), apart from financing, product, and research and development, management is one of the factors that are essential for the success in entrepreneurship. As organizing is one of the functions of management, receiving an education to improve this specific skill may contribute to a successful venture of entrepreneurs. To conclude, having the required skills of organizational skills through entrepreneurial education may help entrepreneurs to avoid failure in their ventures and lead to their desired success.

DISCUSSION

Most entrepreneurs may walk on a path filled with difficulties along the way which might hinder entrepreneurs in making to the stage of an established business. Thus, this research paper aimed to identify the factors that cause entrepreneurs to fail in becoming an established business. When running a business, entrepreneurs may find themselves in a state of losing motivation by the obstacles they are facing along the way, which might cause a negative impact on the performance of a firm and lead to closure as entrepreneurs do not have the motivation to focus on the goals to sustain the business. Moreover, negative cash flow could be a factor that affects the survivability of the business as entrepreneurs may fail to manage their businesses’ cash flows which may cause the company to be unstable and require additional funding to survive. Furthermore, organizational skills may be required by every entrepreneur to succeed in the business in which most entrepreneurs lack these skills and cause them to face failure in the end. These findings agree with Zimmerman and Chu’s (2013) research on factors that contribute to the success of entrepreneurs in Venezuela, the problem that they faced, and the motivation that drives them to pursue entrepreneurship. Nevertheless, this research topic requires a deeper analysis of each factor that affects entrepreneur’s failure which may also be influenced by other aspects not stated in this paper.

CONCLUSION

While there are many studies concerning the factors that cause entrepreneurs to fail, most studies do not provide a focus on a specific stage of entrepreneurs who are running a business for less than three and a half years. If the factors that cause entrepreneurs to fail in becoming an established business are not thoroughly explored, this may lead to a high rate of failure in their businesses. Thus, this topic requires further studies on the factors mentioned in this paper which can provide a better understanding of the success and failure factors affecting entrepreneurs when operating a business. The findings of this research could help entrepreneurs to be aware of the factors that might cause them to fail in reaching the stage of an established business, which in turn might contribute to a higher probability of success in the business. To conclude, there are various factors that may cause entrepreneurs to fail in becoming an established business. Hence, being aware of these factors is crucial to the success of a business. Current and future entrepreneurs may need to recognize these factors and avoid making the same mistakes that most entrepreneurs might have done before. Therefore, having the knowledge of factors that may cause most entrepreneurs to fail is vital for both current and future entrepreneurs.

REFERENCES

Adeyemo, S. A. For me, I prefer to work in a job that I feel satisfied because I don’t want to work in a job that I don’t feel comfortable to work, it would make me feel stress. I like to work in a job that I happy to work everyday without stress and feel good. Sometimes thing might get challenging to me, but I think it is fine because in life we need to face some challenge too. My will of having a satisfy job would be fulfilled if I can work wherever I want. I like to have freedom very much, but I still don’t want an easy job or a secure job that I won’t be fired.

The job that I would do should be the job that I feel very satisfied because I would feel good to work in that position. There are many reasons that a satisfied job would fits me well. For example, I want to be a Chemist, so I willingly to work in a lab condition because I would feel good and confident to work in the lab. The environment of the workplace will make me build up confident that I need to make progress on my work or research that I’m working on. The good thing about this is that I’m happy of my working environment because I’m working in the job that I’m satisfied. There is also bad thing about this which is you can’t really know that the work going to pay you off as you like it. Satisfied job would not fully fulfill my satisfaction yet, it’s still missing one factor which is to work wherever I want. I’m not the kind of person that would work in the place that I’m not suitable for me. The opposite side of this thing is that the payments would not be as good as the other who could work anywhere.

People would always want to have a prestigious job which I’m one of them who really want that. In my opinion, having a prestigious job would affect what the people look at me. Other people would see me as a smart and a talented man who can climb the stair to success in having a high-ranked prestigious job. It would also means to look good like you are wearing clothes. Prestigious job would give you a nice suits or tuxedo to your social life among others. Not just other who will be appreciating you, yourself would too. Another side of it would be that the people will just look at you from the outside or the stereotype of you only. People may not considering you from the inside. If you are not as they think you are, you might get in trouble as well.

By having prestigious job, another benefit you mostly will get is high salary. Fortunately, not all prestigious job have high salary, but most of them do. Having a job that have high salary for me is a very good thing because I could use all the salary I get to take care of my family in the future or taking care of other major stuff for my entire life. Money you all know is now a major factor of making things progress and done. If you get a job that has low salary, you might not be able to take care of many things in life or the thing that you will be encounter with. High salary job doesn’t mean that the work is going to be easy for you. The high salary comes with a double blade which is that the work you are going to do will be harsh and a lot of work has to be done. Those high salary will mostly come from your effort in work of how much you into the work you are doing and it is going to be difficult.

From what all I’m saying is that every type of work have it own pros and cons, but it depends on how much can you deal with it. The job that you are satisfied might not pay as you are expected. To work wherever you want doesn’t mean you will get that high salary too. The prestigious job is so great, but you need to deal with the other side of it too. The same as the job that pays a lot, doesn’t mean you can do anything and the boss will give you that loads of money. You still need to put your effort into it to be success in your life and especially, your own requirements.

Poor people in Roman times sleep through their nights in a cheap bar, but the riches were having lots of entertainment including gambling. The social conditions were described by a historian in the 4th century whose name is Ammianus Marcellinus. He said that the superiors were overlook the one who are below them, the one who spend too much money with their servants around themselves. The poor one is always the one who were left behind no matter that they were free or slave.

Today’s society still use the poor as scapegoat by the rich people. The rich will make the poor take the guilt that they didn’t committed themselves. Another difference is that the poor might look for the shade near the theater, but the rich will be sitting in the theater to avoid the hot sun which is more cooler. In the Roman times, we could divide the poor into Good and Bad Poors. In 19th century, the division still there, but they were called the undeserving and deserving poor. The deserving poor is like a hard working people.

Today we are lucky not to see the rich surrounded by servants everytime. The point is that our civilization would be better if we treated everyone no matter who they are equally.

The first evidence of this is that China, after a long time of being colonized in the past, people of China still be able to united themselves. They’ve been separated, but the civilization of China still strong. Even the surveys told us that between 80 and 95% of people of China, either satisfied or extremely satisfied with its own central government. There were many examples of conflicts that occur in China, but it seems not to be a factor for Chinese to dissatisfied the central government. Central government also did a good job in governing a very country which is difficult to govern by the stability of its government. The west usually take sides and sometimes the state is involving beyond the point of necessary which in China, it’s different. They see the government as the head of the family and the whole country is one family.

The economic rise of China every year is quite a satisfaction for Chinese state. It roses ten percent each year for 30 years. Even Though, China is still a poor developing country, but it’s surely the most capable state. Due to this fact, while the west’s economy is like a mess, China is rising to maybe richer than we think and stronger in its country’s strength. China has learned so much from the west and they are quite better than it now which the west cannot be like China. Still the west can learn, but China’s rise will have a quite an effect to the west and the world in an economy perspective. China will change our future of how we looking at it now and when we realize it, China would be a very powerful country to be compete with.

They landed on the moon safely, Neil Armstrong was honored to be the first human who stepped on the moon. This is the first time a human can really go to space and they started to went beyond its first step to other worlds. Human were smarter as many years passed by. Its solar system wasn’t enough for them to explore anymore, so they went further and further away to the outer space. Many light-years away, the human race finally discovered that they were not alone. There were more species, races, and more that the humans were not known yet. Humans know so little about the others as they tried to be friend with them, in hope to share knowledge. Other races look at the humans as they were allies, but some do not want to be allies with the humans. Many years passed and the world between earth and other planets, became much closer than anyone would imagine it to be. The humans always think that they were alone in the universe, but now they were connected to various worlds and planets. The connection will have a severe effect to the entire universe..

General Alexanderson Minoff or Alex is a truly military grade man from his appearance. He has a tall, fit, and firm body. His forehead is very tall and wide, but the straight bold line cut on his right cheek is very scary. Many people feared him because of his scar. People think that he must had been through something very tough to had a scar like that. Not only the scar that scared everyone, his voice is also another factor. He usually speaks very fast and amazingly clear, but his voice somehow very strict and harsh all the time. Also, anyone who disobey his order, will end up really bad by him. Alex really want every person to push him or herself toward his expectation. No one really knows if anyone would be able to do that. Aside from his personality, Alex is a very talented soldier. He could run about 30 kilometers per hour which is quite a talent to do that. From many years he was in service in the military, he saved many lives and he always smile inside his heart, appreciating of what he had done for a little exchange of the word “Thank you” from other people.

The earth is filled with many technologies that we humans don’t expect it to be created, like ability to learn things by tapping your head to the computer. It’s far more beyond the imagination of humans. These things wouldn’t even exist if we didn’t have the connection we had now with many different planets and universe. All the streets were filled with lights, but that’s for the low class population. The middle class and high class live in the sky which there were buildings floating in the sky and cars were replaced by scarizor. Scarizor is like a car, but it’s more like a space traveling boat with no wheel or paddle to make it move. The sun was already dead, a black star as you could say now. The earth needed to use a solar creator for humans to live under the solar lights. The solar creator was located near the old sun that is dead. Earth was a place that filled with many mysterious that ought to be found, including technologies that could go beyond the word “further”

In the year 2699, the second cold war was going on and General Alexanderson Minoff was in charged in the special mission of GWO aka Galactica World Organization. The mission was to bring the Intel of the Russian Space Army back to base which the GWO believed that RSA was planning to use some kind of weapon to eliminate North Korea. The rumor said that it would have the power not only to wipe out North Korea, but the entire continent of Asia.

General Alexanderson Minoff along with his five best men were traveling across the border between the two countries of Ukraine and Russia. They were excited about the mission and Alex was trying to kept them in focus about the mission they were going into today.

“Hey! You men need to focus! The mission need to be accomplished perfectly and discretely!” said General Alexanderson.

“Anyone who disobey my orders, you all know what is the consequences, right?!”

“Sir yes sir!” They all shouted.

The car stopped near the Russian border and they all prepared to move out in the open.

“Let’s move!”

The night was as black as the black stripe on the zebra, the squad was sneaking toward the Russian border and the General Alexanderson felt that something wasn’t right. The grassland was too quite like someone was hiding somewhere in the bushes. “Stay focus men, I think we have company” said General Alex. Times passed, but still no sign of any hostile in the area. General Alexanderson finally order his squad to cut the wire that were along the Russian border.

“There are electricity running along the wire, sir!”

“Here, use the electric wire cutter” One men said. “A new gadget from our department of Engineering in MIT”

When the men started to cut the wire, a bullet came out of nowhere and hit the cutter. “Hostile 8 o’clock!” The squad killed all the hostile very quickly in five seconds. General Alexanderson wasn’t impress with the work his squad done really much. “You men could done it better! and faster than this!” said General Alex. “If you men still keep this same effort by not pushing further, we’ll all be dead so soon before you know it!”

Then, the men started to cut the wire again and it was turn out that it was very easy to be done. They were managed to move through the Russian border toward the capital city of Russia ‘Moscovic’ A great city for business and night life as you may not imagine it to be like. The city was changed very much in a hundred years, everything was truly hi-tech. Like a little paradise of nerds who really into the technology. The difficult part of this city was that the Kremlin, where the objective of the mission was located, was like a huge command center and everything that were going on in the capital were being watched all the time. It was almost impossible not to be detected of doing illegal activities in the capital or being a threat to the country.

“Keep up with your pace men! We have three hours to infiltrate and extract from this country!” said General Alexanderson. “Definitely sir!” they all shouted.

They finally reached the city of Moscovic and the Kremlin is in front of them. General Alexanderson ordered one of his men to go forward to scout the area ahead for the heads up. “Right away sir!” He sneaked quite quickly towards the Kremlin and it looks like he knew that there were security cameras watching him along his path.

“Sir, there were security cameras with infrared vision along the path in front of us! I’ll see what I can do to disable it sir!” the men said. “Be cautious men, we do not know what is more ahead of us” said General Alexanderson

After five minutes of silence, the men contacted back to the squad. He said that everything was all clear ahead of the squad and it was clear to move now.

“Alright men, let’s move”

They sneaked really fast to the underground sewer of the Kremlin that has not been used for a hundred years which guarantees that there were nothing to detect the infiltration. The squad regrouped and move to the entrance of the sewer for the breach.

“Open it men” General Alexanderson ordered.

The gate to the sewer was seems to be unlocked and easily to open. The squad went inside the gate in a diamond formation which was great to protect all of them in a 360 degrees around them. The sewer had everything that most of them sewers had. Rats, dirty water, and incredibly bad smell that the nose cannot process how bad the smell was to the squad.

“You can all wear a mask if you like men, but we must move quickly” said General Alexanderson. “Sir yes sir!”

“To headquarter, we’re in the Kremlin, proceeding to the objective” said General Alexanderson.

“Nicely done General, you have two hours to infiltrate, make all seconds count”

“Copy and out”

Moving down the sewer that seems to be endless and no ways out. General Alexanderson was not so sure about this, but he told his squad to stay focus and be cautious. They found many rats along their path and the way was like a maze. General Alexanderson surprised the squad by finally finding the way out of the sewer which incredibly got them very close to the target.

“Alright men, our objective is above us 20 meters. We need to get that information ASAP!” General Alexanderson said. “Now, move your ass up there!”

Each individual men climbing up the stair toward the objective. There seems to be something waiting for them as well..

“There are more sensors sir, we might need times to disable the system” the men said “Do it men” said General Alexanderson “Right away sir”

Like the longest five minutes in every men’s life. The men finally disable the sensors and they were moving forward which what they are looking for was already in front of them.

“Get into the room quickly, fetch the information!” General Alexanderson said

The room was filled with many different types of technology that were some kind of armory technology for attacking and defensive strategy. Tons of computer screen was used to display these strategies. The squads were shocked of how the Russian Space Army could went so much further than they were expected it to be. They were now considering that themselves underestimated the opponent too much that it could bring disaster to themselves.

“Those are a lot of strategies.. to headquarter, we found much strategies of attacking and defensive technology, we might need a little time to fetch all these info.” the men said

“Negative, armed hostile are moving in your direction, ETC three minutes, you need to go to the extraction point A1T2 ASAP!”

“You two men! initiate defensive strategy zero point one!” General Alexanderson shouted

“Right away sir!”

The two men brought out a small object that turns out to be a metal barricade. They even had the bomb planted on the path that they thought the enemy will run pass. “Defensive strategy is assembled sir!” the men said “Put up that barrier!” shouted General Alexanderson “Initiate defensive barrier!”

“ETC on the info?” General Alexanderson asked “Two minutes sir!”

“Squad, hostiles will reach your position in 30 seconds, you need to get out of there now!”

“Negative! We are not going anywhere without the information!” General Alexanderson said

“Incoming hostiles!” One of the men shouted

There were lots of firing straight to them, but luckily their defense formation was good enough to hold the enemy line for the information to be completely fetched. The time that the squad needs was one minute more and the enemies were still coming right at them. General Alexanderson looked at his team while they holding the enemies, he was proud of his squad so much that he wanted to give them “Good Job!” at the end of this mission. No one really knows if he would have the opportunity to do that or not even himself.

“Information is completely fetched!” the men said “But there were many more enemies coming!”

“Men, go, I can hold the enemies enough for you all the escape with the information” said General Alexanderson “Packed up and go! This is an order!”

“We’re not living without you sir!”

“You know I don’t like people to disobey my orders! Now go! Quickly! for God’s sake!”

General Alexanderson decided to blew up the corridor where the enemies where firing at the squad. The bomb sat off quite effectively. The squad was managed to escaped from the facility alive, but the ceiling of the building fell down on top of General Alexanderson. He was disabled and became unconscious after the event that occurred.

While the men escaping through the tunnel..

“We must go back and help our General!” one of the men said

“No we could not! It will ruin the entire operation that we are doing!” another men replied “The General had made his choice.. a hardest choice of all.. to sacrifice his own self for us! He gave us orders and.. he don’t like us to disobey his order didn’t he?”

“Yes.. You’re right, we must keep going.”

“You’re one click away from the extraction point men, move fast” the sounds that came out from the radio did really a good job of giving the squad a new point to focus which to extract from the area fast. There were no hostile on the way back to the extraction point. It looked like the enemy were satisfied with the fish the caught back in the Intel room. The squad didn’t really know what happened to General Alexanderson, but they hoped that he will be alright. “He’s a very tough guy indeed” one men said

The helicopter picked the squad up from the extraction point, they were exhausted of what they’ve been through. One of the pilot asked, “Where’s General Alexanderson?” No one reply back to that pilot. The pilot left without asking any further questions. He was wondering if the General might be killed in action or not. He assumed that it would not happened.

General Alexanderson woke up in a pure white room with his hand, feet, and body tied down to some kind of bed. The bed was made of uni body aluminum. No one was around him, only the security camera that was pointed at him all the time. He tried to shake his hand and feet a bit, but he certainly cannot. He felt the pain came from his right leg. He looked at it and his leg was totally disabled from what he could tell himself to think. The leg looked completely terrible. There were blood everywhere including dirt and some tiny pieces of concrete on his wound. He could barely felt his leg, only the pain from the wound.

“You seem to wake up already huh.. General Alexanderson Minoff” mysterious voice said, looks like it came out of the speaker inside the room. “Yes, we know who you are.. you are brave of what you did there quite an hour ago”

“You saved your squad from being caught and what you did was to sacrifice your life for them.. what a courage” “But.. you know what the consequences are right General..?”

“Who the hell are you?” General Alexanderson said

“Ah.. don’t need to be so harsh General.. who I am is not important here General, but my purpose is..” “Now tell me, who are you work for huh? General Alexanderson?”

“I’m not going to tell you anything!” General Alexanderson replied “I will get out of here sooner or later!”

“We’ll see about that General.. Well, you made your choice.. if you aren’t going to tell me anything then.. how about a Trufer General?

General Alexanderson stunned, he knew what a Trufer was. It’s a machine that force any person to tell the truth, even the deepest secret inside the humans minds. In the process of truferring, even you will not feel any pain, but your minds actually does.

“Hahaha, you seems to know what it is don’t you? Your knowledge must be so great to know a classified machine like this” “We’ll begin the process in five minutes, let’s see what we could gather from you..” mysterious voice said

The General don’t know what to do, he was going to get truferred and he will lose everything he was trying to protect. He needs to find a way to escape out of this room, but in the moment he did not know how. At that moment, he felt that he might could make his hands loose enough to get out of the aluminum bed because of his sweat in his two hands. He tried to shake and pull his hands out, but it was not working quite well.

“Come on.. get it out of there!” he complained to himself

Suddenly, the two hands were slipped out of the chain that tied him to the bed which made him able to work with his leg. He managed to got out of the bed now and it seems that the guards were not know yet that he was out.

At the security room..

“Do you think that fucking General died?” the guard said

“Why do you said that?” another guard replied

“Look at him! There are no movements for a while now”

“It must be a trick, don’t fall to it, he will be moving soon enough when he get truferred!” the guard laughed

Meanwhile in the room, General Alexanderson was working the way out of the room. He sense that it must have the way to get out of the room. He tried to slam the door, but it was not worked.

“Captain.. the air..” a sound whispered into General Alexanderson ears

“What the hell is that sound I wondered..” General Alexanderson said

So he looked up and found a gate to an air duct. “This must be the way” he said. So he jumped up to it, but he could not reach it. He tried again, but this time he only could touch the vent.

“Alarm! General is trying to escape!”

“Oh shit!” he shouted

This time General Alexanderson quickly jumped up and he finally could hanged himself on the surface of the air duct. He pulled himself up and quickly crawl his way through the air duct. He felt that the air duct was pretty cold and he’s not sure of where it is going to lead him to. He hoped that it will lead to his escape.

While General Alexanderson was in the air duct, the Russian Space Army already knew that General Alexanderson was in the air duct. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a system in the air duct, so they couldn’t tell where the General was located.

“For Buddha’s sake! Send some guys in the air duct and get that fucker out!” the RSA defense coordinator said

“Stop, there’s no need for sending men to die” a tall man came out of the shadow. “I have a better idea, I’ll hunt him down myself, this would be fun” the man said.

The man’s name was General Striker Kushkoff, the head of all operation in the Russian Space Army. He is the one who’s in charge of everything in here. No one really mess with him because of his reputation and ranks. There were rumor said that he could stop the jet from taking off single handed without harm to his hands or body. The rumor said that it was happened when the enemy tried to escape the General, but the General stopped the enemy first before he could take off and killed him. General Striker is a big man with all the muscles coming out of his body like you can imagine it would be. His body is so big that its looks like it’s going to explode somehow. The General was handsome indeed, he have four wives and six kids to be taking care. No one really knows why he could take care 14 people at the same time.

General Striker walked down along the corridor to hunt General Alexanderson down. He was not yet found him. Suddenly, there were noises above him and it was very loud indeed. It sounded like someone was struggling to move.

“Ah.. I heard you..” General Striker mumbled

He shot his shotgun to the area above him, hoping to killed General Alexanderson. In the air duct, General Alexanderson was trying his best to move along the air duct. “Oh, Shit! A shotgun!” General Striker missed the shots. General Alexanderson moved faster and faster, avoiding to get shot at the same time. “Oh.. General… You not going to get away from me!” General Striker shouted.

General Alexanderson reached the air room which is the room where the air goes into the building. He saw a large hole that leads to the outside of the building. “Yes!” Unfortunately, it was too high to jump out from that hole. “Holycow! that is almost 10 meters from here, how do I suppose to get down?!” he speaked to himself.

“Getting somewhere General..?”

General Alexanderson turned to the owner of the voice, it was General Striker, he finally get in the air duct.

“You’re General Striker, long time no see after that mission that I shot you in the chest”

“Yes, I still remember that pain you strike me! and today.. you’re going to pay for it!”

General Striker shoot his shotgun and it hits General Alexanderson in the chest. “Argh!” General Alexanderson jumped off through the large hole down the building. He fell down to piles of trash with no serious damage occurred. He was bleeding pretty hard and hardly pull himself out of the trash. “I must find a way to contact the headquarter.. argh..” said General Alexanderson

“Sir! I finally get a signal back from General Alexanderson! He might already got out of the RSA facility!”

In the headquarter of the GWO, the communication department finally got the signal back from the General. The squad also heard it too and they would be the rightful one to go to rescue their General.

Suddenly, while the squad were preparing to rescue General Alexanderson.

“You men don’t need to go, I’ll go, I’m his friend for over 35 years and I will not let my friend died there” Its General Alexanderson’s friend, Colonel Sharp Handerson. He’s a very fertile man born from a very rich business family who owned 40 percent of the entire business on Earth. He was born to be a business man, but he abandoned his family at the age of 18. He became a most famous military soldier after his friend General Alexsanderson and he was awarded with a lot of many different skills such as courageous in service and etc. He has a great smile, attractive, but single. He claimed that he don’t want to be with anyone just yet until he is ready to be out of service from the GWO and find one. His body was almost as the same with General Alexanderson, but his shoulders were wider. A good looking man with a clever brain, that’s what most people called him.

“We will go with you too sir! The General is for us to save as well!” One of the squad said

“Shut your mouth! My friend.. my responsible for letting him went alone in that mission.. I’ll be leaving soon” said Sharp

“You have the permission to go as you wish Colonel Sharp” said the head of command

“Thank you sir! I’ll bring him back ASAP!”

Colonel Sharp packed all of his gears for his journey to save General Alexanderson, his friend. He was worried about his friend really much. He don’t know what was happened during the mission and what is his friend condition now, but he hoped that Alex will be alright as soon as he get there. Sharp flew the Jet X60 which was a new jet for the GWO that was just arrived this morning. The Jet X60 was good in stealth mission where the sounds and visual were really important things to keep being hidden from enemies. It was fast and very useful for this mission indeed.

“Permission to take off, X60 35 at Cargo B, mission Gen. Alex” said Sharp

“You have permission to take off, Colonel Sharp, good luck” the flight command replied

The gates were slowly opened and the jet was ready to take off.

“Everything’s looking good, I’m taking off” said Sharp

The jet took off quite fascinating because no one have seen it yet. Colonel Sharp flew quickly to his destination and he hoped that Alex will still be alright when he got there.

“Initiate stealth mode” said Sharp

“STEALTH MODE INITIATED”

General Alexanderson was lying in cover behind the Kremlin’s walls, under a pile of trash. “I need to find a way back to base..” said General Alexanderson with dizziness.

“Hey! Alex! Come in!”

“Wh..What..? is that Sharp? Is it you Sharp?!” said General Alexanderson “Yes! You are alright?”

“Yes, I am, but pretty stick down here..”

“Hahaha, hang tight, I’m going to pick you right up”

The jet landed, but there were no visual of it. Its looks like it was just an air coming out of an empty space while it was landing. Colonel Sharp came out from an empty space which it seemed like it was nothing there, but he just came out of it. “Hey Alex! We gotta go!” Sharp carried him to the jet and evacuated from the area easily. “I knew you’d made it out of there my friend!” said Sharp cheerily “Yes.. pretty harsh in there.. in the fucking Kremlin..” General Alexanderson mumbled “I don’t quite get you there.. are you alright my friend?” General Alexanderson suddenly passed out. “Hey! Alex! Oh shit!”

In General Alexanderson’s mind, he saw a war between many different planets from far away galaxies. The humans were fighting vigorously against their enemies with a help of an ally. These visions suddenly stopped and the picture that he saw next was a white light shining at him. “Alex! can you hear me?” “Is he gonna be alright doc?” “Well.. he’s going to be fine.. we just need more time to fix him. Don’t worry Colonel Sharp, he will be soon recovered I’m sure” “Do what you have to do to fix him up Doc, Thanks” ….

“Our latest news coming up right here at Channel 5, it seems like the United States has been compromised in the mission of trying to steal somewhat called ‘Intel’ from the archive room in the Kremlin. The Russian report that this would be the last straw for the United States for the break out of the war between the two. We don’t know any further information of how serious it’s going to be, but when we know you’ll know. This is Camella Forstein, outdoor news reporter from Channel 5”

At this moment, the two superpowers has declared war between each other, after the long second Cold War since the year 2300. Now it’s finally break out. The citizens of the world were afraid of this war because they don’t really know what will going to happen in this so called World War III. It was going to affect the entire world so big that it may be a good thing to escape out of Earth to live in some other planet like Mars. This war, going to be the last war for mankind, everyone hoping it to be that way…

“Hey Alex! Wake up! We are a break of war now!” shouted Sharp “We must go right now!”

“Argh… What?!” said General Alexanderson in the state of groggy “At war? They know about us?”

“Yes Yes! They knew we stole something from them at the Kremlin. Now our country declared war with them and they were the first to declare the war too!”

“Take me to the Intel we found Sharp” ordered General Alexanderson “This way!” said Sharp

The two run along the corridor of the base of Galactica World Organization which they could see many people running around like a mouse. They saw many people busy working and researching information to help them win the war. The base was so loud that you could barely hear your own voice. A moment before the war, the base was so quiet that you could hear a tiny pin drop to the ground, but not it wasn’t like that anymore.

“There are so many people Sharp!” said General Alexanderson

“Yes, it is! They are eagerly working what they can for the war for their country, our country” Sharp replied “Here it is! The Intel room”

They both went into the room, it was a room with many large glasses around an across the room. “Turn on computer!” Suddenly all the empty glasses in the room has a visualization of many things, showed around the room. “Here it is Alex, this is what your team gathered from the Kremlin that night” said Sharp

The visualization showed locations, strategy, and the weapons that were going to be used to strike the target. There were pictures of North Korea, China, United States, and Paris. “Wait, is that a nuclear weapon?!” asked General Alexanderson

“Well.. it’s not, but it’s something worse than that Alex” Sharp replied “It’s a A7X..”

“What the fuck?! They finally succeed on building it?! Oh my god.. what this world going to face now..” General Alexanderson complaining

“Its not only have the potential to wipe out our planet, but others too Alex.. This is so bad, it’s getting so bad now.. We gotta do something about it Alex” said Sharp

“We must go Alex, the war has already begun.. and we will fight together.. Gather your men and meet me in the room 70X, that’s an order!” shouted General Alexanderson

“Yes sir!” said Sharp

Colonel Sharp quickly ran off to gather his men as General Alexanderson ordered. Alex was pretty nervous of how this world going to be after all these situations that were happening. He ran to the room 70X, passing many soldiers along his path, each of them saluted Alex as they ran passed by him. Alex was pretty familiar with these kinds of respect procedure but, the face of these men were like a really tragic movie to him. He reached the room 70X and his gears were already there before him. He suited up with the new type of suit. It was the Form 91 which was the new version of suit, upgraded by its predecessors by filling a sensor that provides 360 degrees of hostile alert and the ability to fly instantly. The suit has many lights and many functions. It could be use in space as well as it is designed for astronauts to use.

“We’re here for order sir!” the men just came in the room shouted, including Colonel Sharp

“Freely, the world is at war now men, it is now or never to fight it and we will win! We can’t let those Russian defeat us. We have the intel, we have the weapons that were more hi-tech than them. There were no reasons for we to lose. Now let’s go! Get your ass up there on the jet! We are on the X60!” General Alexanderson shouted

“Hoo-ah!” they all shouted.

They all traveled by the jet to the battlefield near Washington D.C., which the Russian already arrived there. “We gotta get that Russian asses burn!” one men said. It took three minutes to reach Washington and the city was a hell load of gunfire throughout the city. Their were many casualties on the ground and the civilians were already traveled to a safe place in Cape Canaveral which NASA was a very great supporter for the safe house. The Jet X60 was landed near the headquarter of the U.S. military command. “Alright, we are here, report to the Chief inside the C Building!” “Yes sir!”

“Alex, this gonna be exciting!” Sharp said “We are at war!”

“War doesn’t help anything done, but if there is one, I’ll fight to the death of my life and I won’t regret it that I’m once served the country with my life” General Alexanderson said.

Colonel Sharp and General Alexanderson walked inside the C Building where they will be reporting for duty with the Chief in Command.

“Ahh, here you are, Colonel Sharp Handerson and General Alexanderson Minoff, I heard a lot of your accomplishments” the Chief said

“Thank you sir, we are reported for duty” Sharp and Alex said.

“Alright then, your mission is to find information about the Russian troops which we think that they were trying to use the underground sewer of the city to infiltrate to us here” the Chief said “We need to find out what their intention is right now!”

“Yes sir, we already managed a team for this duty and I’ll go as well” Alex said

“Why would you need to go? You could just possibly ordered your team to go.”

“I like to work with my team”

“Well then, do as you wish”

“Let’s go Sharp, we got a lot of work to do.”

Both Colonel Sharp and General Alexanderson along with their teams went out of the building toward the sewer gate near the headquarter which the Chief was suspecting. “I hate the fucking sewer!” Sharp said “You wouldn’t know what its really like when you’ve been in therefor hours Sharp” Alex said.

They finally reached the sewer gate which the smell were really terrible when they got there. “You can put your masks on men, if you can hardly breath.” Alex said.

“To HQ, we’re in”

Games could be beneficial or harmful depending on the game itself and the players. The bad side of the games could cause people to act like what it is in the games, especially games that have violence in them. On the other hand, games might not do anything, but the players themselves are the ones responsible for all the action that they’ve done by impersonating those characters in games. Even though these violent games were banned in selling, the world of internet still grants the access to those games. Should the government blocked access to those games that have violence in them or not?

Many people especially parents are very concerned about games that have violence in them. Most people under age of 18 are playing these games as well which makes the parents even more concerned about this. The cause of violent video games could cause many behavior problems. Game players may get addicted to these games too much that their mind couldn’t possibly focus on other thing else such as school and social life. These game players could have severe behavior problems that they might change into another person or even worse, a character in the game. Talking about social life, violent games could affect the game players by separate them apart from any interactions in the society. They might not have enough time with their family or friends outside of the internet.

More evidence of effects in the violent video games players could go deeper into psychology. The evidence said that most of teens under age of 18 could easily be infected by the violent in video games because those games contains many malicious contents such as gore, sexual interactions, and big conflicts like wars and civil wars. Those teens were not yet mature enough to play the game, so they might think that everything in the game is a good thing which the results would be even worse. They will do the same thing as in the game and that would causes many more problems after. Game could cause behavior problems, lack in society interactions, and many factors more that violent games could do.

Violent games can be beneficial in many ways to people of all ages, especially ones who are not yet reach the age of 18. Many high school kids learn curse words from violent games which obviously the game uses a lot of curse words. It prepared these kids to face reality world that aren’t always beautiful as they see for their entire life. Not only curse words they’ve learned from violent games, they might be able to learn how to face critical situations in real life too. For example, they might learn how to deal with robbery if they were thief themselves. So, they would be able to know what thieves are and how to deal with them if you are in a critical situations like a bank robbery. It would be beneficial to these kids under age of 18 to know these kinds of material, like a preparation for their future.

Violent video games are not harmful if the players know what things means and are. The players should have the ability to separate the differences between the game and the real world. This would cause the player to gain many benefits from violent games. Violent games could be describe as a knife, if it is use correctly, it will not be harmful, but if it is use incorrectly, it would obviously be harmful. So, it depending on how the players deal with the violent in video games. If people under age of 18, deal with the violence in gaming correctly, it would be beneficial for them which the situation may turned opposite if they deal with it incorrectly. It’s mostly up to the players to decide their own choices.

To best conclude what violence in games could cause, it would look like a double-edge sword. It could be beneficial and harmful if the gamers dealing with violence in gaming incorrectly. It could cause many bad behavior problems such as addiction to video games that causes the players to have lack of social activities. This may also go deep into psychology of human’s mind that might change the action of the players after seeing those violence in games. In spite of all things, violence in the games may also affects the players, especially player under age of 18 to have a head start of what a real world is like which isn’t as nice as they would imagine it to be. So, should the government block the access to the games that have violence in them? or should they let it be the way it is right now? It is for the people to decide.
