THE SPOKEN WORD (Introduction)

*For Audio, Click Icon Above*

Then God said, ‘Let there be light’, and there was light — Genesis 1:3

Notice that nothing happened, until God opened His mouth and boldly spoke His Word. While God was thinking and believing, about what He spoke, nothing happened, until He opened His mouth and spoke what He believed. Notice also, that God did not just wish and hope, that what He believed and wanted, would happen by itself, but He boldly spoke it! God changed the situation or circumstances, by boldly speaking or confessing what He believed. In other words, God re-created the situation or circumstances, with His spoken Word, by believing it first and then speaking or confessing it. And so, if the spoken Word of God, created the world, that means the very same spoken Word of God, can re-create or change situations or circumstances, in the world, if it is believed first and then spoken or confessed. Whatever created the world, can also change or re-create situations or circumstances, in the world. The very same spoken Word of God, that created the world, can also change or re-create situations or circumstances, in the world. The very same process, that God used to create the world, can also be used to change or re-create situations or circumstances, in the world. Remember, that God didn’t just believe, wish or hope, what He wanted, but He also boldly spoke or confessed, what He wanted. And so, if God has to believe and boldly speak or confess, His Word, before it can happen, that also means that humans have to believe and boldly speak or confess, the Word of God, before it can happen in our lives, sooner or later. If the Word of God, was going to happen in our lives, without speaking or confessing it first, it would have happened long time ago. Simply believing, wishing or hoping, the Word of God, without speaking or confessing it, changes nothing. Our faith in the Word of God, is released by speaking or confessing it. If we believe, the Word of God, then we have to speak or confess it, so it can happen. What we believe or our faith has to be spoken or confessed, just as God spoke or confessed, what He believed or His faith, because true faith speaks!

And God said, ‘Let (everything in) the earth produce…. according to it’s kind’. And it was so — Genesis 1:11

Once again, nothing happened, until God opened His mouth and boldly spoke or confessed, what He believed. He did not wish and hope, that something will happen. God didn’t just believe, what He wanted, but He also boldly spoke or confessed, what He wanted, so it could happen. God makes things happen by boldly speaking or confessing His Word. And so, if God, the creator of the whole world, has to open His mouth and boldly speak or confess, His Word every time, for something to happen, in the earth, then His creation or humans, also have to open our mouths and boldly speak or confess, what God has already spoken, for it to happen in our lives, situations or circumstances. We must never expect the Word of God, to happen in our lives, by only believing, wishing or hoping it, without speaking or confessing it. Also note, that the word ‘confession’ or ‘confess’ , in the Bible, is both positive and negative. You can confess sin and you can confess, what God has already spoken or speak the same thing that God has spoken. Confession or confess, for the most part, in the Bible, is speaking the same thing as God or repeating, what God has spoken already. Whenever you confess or speak, what God has already spoken, you release God’s power or ability, into your life, situation or circumstance.

Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to do so? — Amos 3:3

In order to walk with God or God to walk with us, we have to be in agreement with Him. And we agree and walk with God, when we agree with His Word, by believing and boldly speaking or confessing it. In the aviation industry, pilots have to repeat the instructions and directions they receive from the control tower, to make sure the pilots are on the same page, with the control tower. The same is true, in our relationship with God, we have to repeat or speak, what God has already spoken, so we are on the same page with God. When we repeat or speak, what God has already spoken, we confirm and invite God, to operate in our lives, situations or circumstances. God needs our permission and participation, to operate in our lives. If God could operate in our lives automatically, there would be no need to speak, confess or pray, the Word of God.

…that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Lord, through the prophet — Matthew 2:15

Here is another example of how God operates and how God’s creation or humans, must learn to operate. In the preceding scripture, notice the words ‘spoke’ and ‘fulfilled’.God through the prophet, had spoken earlier, many years before, about what was fulfilled or happened later. . Notice, that God believed and spoke or confessed first, what happened many years later. And if God has to believe and speak or confess, for things to happen in the earth, that means nothing from God will happen in the earth, without first being believed and spoken or confessed. Nothing from God will happen, by only believing, wishing or hoping it, without boldly speaking or confessing it. If things or events, could happen in the earth, without God speaking or confessing them, then God would not have wasted His time by opening His mouth, to speak or confess, what He wanted to happen. And if things or events, happen for God, by believing and speaking or confessing them, then things or events are also going to happen for us, only by believing and speaking, confessing or praying, what God has spoken. Nothing happened for God, without boldly speaking, confessing it, and nothing is going to happen for us, without boldly speaking, confessing or praying, the Word of God!

Then was fulfilled, what was spoken by Jeremiah, the prophet, saying — Matthew 2:17

Again, in the preceding scripture, you find the words ‘spoken’ and ‘fulfilled’. Notice that through out the Bible, beginning in Genesis, all the way to Revelations, things were spoken of first, before they happened or were fulfilled, sooner or later. And some events, have yet to be fulfilled or happen. But there is no doubt, that given God’s track record so far, of speaking the future, before it happens, every thing He has spoken, will come to pass.

…that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophets — Matthew 2:23

For the third time, we encounter the words ‘spoken’ and ‘fulfilled’. If God and the prophets, considered it necessary to speak the Word of God, before it happened or was fulfilled, then we must also consider it essential, to open our mouths and speak, confess or pray, the Word of God, so it can happen or be fulfilled, in our lives, situations or circumstances, sooner or later. Everything in the Bible, that happened or will happen, has been spoken. And every Word of God, that will happen or be fulfilled in our lives, will have to be spoken, confessed or prayed first. No Word of God will happen or be fulfilled, in our lives without being, believed and spoken, confessed or prayed.

For this is he, who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying.. — Matthew 3:3

The prophet Isaiah had earlier spoken of John, the baptist and what he was going to do, long before John was born! This is another example, of God through the prophets, speaking the future and the prophesy being fulfilled. In the spiritual world, nothing happens or is fulfilled, without first being believed and then spoken, confessed or prayed. And the only thing that happens or is fulfilled by God, is what God has spoken. Whatever we want from God, must be in line or consistent with what God has spoken.

But He answered and said, ‘It is written…’ — Matthew 4:4

Notice that, when Jesus was confronted by the devil or a negative situation ,He opened His mouth and boldly spoke, the Word of God, in Deuteronomy 8:3 . Jesus boldly spoke or confessed, what He believed and what God had spoken, many generations, before Jesus arrived on earth, in human form. Jesus did not wish and hope, that the devil or negative situation, will disappear by itself, but He responded, with what God had spoken. Also note, that this was not the first time, that Jesus came to earth, but it was the first time, that He came as human. Jesus spoke or confessed, what God had already spoken to neutralize a negative situation or circumstance.

Jesus said to him, ‘It is written again…’ -Matthew 4:7

And for the second time, Jesus did not speak or confess, what He saw or felt, but the Word of God , in Deuteronomy 6:16 . Jesus set an example for us, on how to handle negative situations or circumstances. He did not speak contrary to the Word of God, but He boldly spoke or confessed, the Word of God. In other words, we cannot expect to get, what God spoke, while speaking contrary to, what God spoke! In order to get, what God spoke, we have to speak, confess or pray, what God spoke and not the opposite, of what God spoke. Both God and Jesus, boldly spoke or confessed, for things to happen, in the earth!

Then Jesus said to him, ‘..for it is written…’ — Matthew 4:10

Three times in one day, Jesus overcame negative situations and circumstances by speaking or confessing, the Word of God , in Deuteronomy 6:13 ! Jesus is our role model. But we cannot speak, confess or pray, the Word of God, if we do not really know, the Word of God, when negative situations or circumstances, show up in our lives. And this is also, why we must study the Word of God, so we can know, what is really written and what is not really written. In other words, we have to know, what God really spoke and what God never spoke.

..that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet, saying.. — Matthew 4:14

One more time, in the preceding scripture, the words ‘spoken’ and ‘fulfilled’, are brought to our attention. And here again, what was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet, many generations before, was fulfilled or happened later. Are you noticing a common pattern, in how God operates, how Jesus operated and how the prophets operated, and how we as followers or disciples of Jesus, should operate? God, Jesus and the prophets believed first and then boldly spoke or confessed, what they believed, before it happened or was fulfilled sooner or later. First believe, what God spoke, then speak, confess or pray, what God spoke , and then what God spoke, happens or is fulfilled, sooner or later.

As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease — Genesis 8:22

Just as day is always followed by night, so too is seedtime always followed by harvest time. In the natural world, seed has to be sown or planted, in order to get a harvest, sooner or later. The very same is true, in the spiritual world. The Word of God, has to be sown or planted, in our lives, situations or circumstances, to be fulfilled or harvested, sooner or later. The Word of God is sown or planted in our lives, by speaking or confessing it. And every seed or spoken Word of God, reproduces after its own kind (Genesis 1:11)). Therefore, it is important to know specific scriptures for specific situations or circumstances, so we can sow or plant specific seed and reap or harvest a specific crop or outcome. In the natural world, if you want to harvest corn, you do not sow or plant beans. To reap corn, you sow or plant corn seed, and so on and so forth. So too, in the spiritual world, if we want to reap or harvest healing in our life or in the life of loved ones, we have to sow or plant, the healing Word of God, by speaking or confessing it regularly.

The seed is the Word of God — Luke 8:11

Jesus said, that our seed, as believers or Christians is the Word of God. And any seed, natural or spiritual has to be sown or planted to produce, what we want. So, whether in the natural world or spiritual world, seed never produces a harvest, unless and until, it is sown or planted. In the spiritual world, our seed or the Word of God, is sown or planted in our lives, situations or circumstances by speaking or confessing it. And if we do not sow or speak the Word of God, in our lives, situations or circumstances, we cannot expect to reap or harvest, what God has spoken? No seed, that is not sown or planted, grows and produces a harvest? Remember, Jesus Himself said, our seed is the Word of God, but seed does not automatically produce a harvest, without being sown or planted first.

A sower went out to sow seed… and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty — Matthew 13:3–8

The sower is the Christian or believer, who sowed his seed, which is the Word of God and some seed produced 100%, some seed produced 60%, while other seed produced 30%. In both the natural world and spiritual world, seed must be sown or planted, to get a harvest or desired outcome. And the harvest or desired outcome varies, depending on the condition of the soil, amount of water, light and other relevant factors, but all seed has the potential to produce 100%, if it meets the right conditions. And in the case of our lives, it depends on our spiritual condition, commitment and other factors. No farmer expects a harvest without sowing or planting seed first, and no Christian or believer should expect, anything from God without sowing or planting the Word of God, by regularly speaking or confessing it in our lives, situations or circumstances. In the natural world, it is unthinkable or unheard of, for a farmer or anyone, to expect a harvest, without sowing or planting any seed, but yet in the spiritual world, it is very common, for many Christians or believers to expect a harvest, without sowing or planting any seed! We cannot expect to reap or harvest healing, without first sowing or planting the healing Word of God, by regularly speaking or confessing it, and the same is true for other areas of our life. No sowing or planting, no reaping or harvest.

The words I have spoken to you, they are spirit and life — John 6:63

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ spoke the Word of God. And He said, that there was life in the Word of God, just as there is life in natural seed. But all seed must be sown or planted, to produce or activate the life in it.

For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword — Hebrews 4:12

The Word of God is alive and active, but it is not automatically alive and active, in our lives. For the Word of God, to be alive and active in our lives, situations or circumstances, we have to activate it, by boldly speaking, confessing or praying it. Although the Word of God, is for everyone, only individuals that consciously activate it, experience its benefits. The Word of God is never experienced automatically, without activating it.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God — John 1:1

In the preceding scripture, we are told clearly, that the Word of God is God. God and His Word are one and the same. Wherever the Word is, God is there. We can’t have God, without His Word. Whoever has the Word of God, in their life, also has God. And whatever God can do, His Word can do also. God and His Word are like two sides of the same coin. No one can know or experience God, without knowing His Word. So, whenever we speak, confess or pray, the Word of God, we bring God on the scene.

Therefore, be imitators of God, as dear children.. — Ephesians 5:1

We are not God and can never be God, but if we are going to imitate God, we will have to act like God, on a lower level. When you imitate someone, you act like they do. And so this means, that just like God, we have to speak the Word of God, in our lives or situations, so that what God has already spoken and empowered to happen, can happen in our lives, sooner or later. God would never instruct us to imitate Him, if we were not capable of imitating Him. Whatever God has told us to do, He knows that we are capable of doing it, because He created us, and knows our capabilities.

For I watch over my Word, to perform it — Jeremiah 1:12

If God watches over His Word, so He can perform it, in our lives, situations or circumstances, then His Word must be coming out of our mouths, so He can watch over it and perform it, because if His Word is not coming out of our mouths, He has nothing to watch over and perform. God cannot watch over and perform His Word, if His Word does not exist in our lives.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it, will eat it’s fruit — Proverbs 18:21

Notice, that our tongue or mouth, has the power of death and life! Our fate or destiny, is not up to or in the hands of God, Jesus, angels, the prophets or the devil, but in what comes out of our own mouth. We can speak life and blessings over our lives or we can speak death and curses. When we speak, the Word of God, over our lives and situations, we release life and blessings, into our lives and situations, and when we speak, contrary to the Word of God or what the world says, we release death and curses, into our lives and situations. Our own mouth can shape or influence our fate or destiny. So, our life is in our own hands. We get to choose, what we want or don’t want.

I call heaven and earth, as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you, death and life, blessings and curses, therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants, may live — Deuteronomy 30:19

Notice, that we have to choose and God wont choose for us? And if God was going to choose for us, He would not tell us to choose! This also means, that if we do not choose for ourselves, the situations or circumstances, will choose for us and we may not like, what they choose for us.

…From the same mouth, come blessings and curses… — James 3:3–10

Notice , that our own mouth, can speak both blessings and curses. We get to choose, what comes out of our mouth and eventually into our lives and situations. With our own mouths, we can speak or confess life and blessings or we can speak or confess death and curses, into our lives and situations. Our own mouth is the steering wheel of our life! We can use our mouth to steer towards blessings or we can use our mouth to steer towards curses. The steering wheel is in our hands and we decide our destination.

And God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have dominion… over all the earth -Genesis 1:26

If God gave mankind dominion or the authority, to decide, what happens or what does not happen, in the earth, that means God does not have dominion or authority in the earth, to decide, what happens or what does not happen, in the earth? Mankind or humans have been put in charge of the earth. God cannot give dominion or authority to mankind or humans in the earth and still have dominion or authority in the earth? And if God, were to decide for mankind, after giving us dominion or authority, that would contradict His own Word or nullify it? But as humans, who have dominion or authority in the earth, we can invite and give permission to God, to act in our lives or situations by regularly speaking, confessing or praying, His Word. God cannot act in the our lives or situations automatically, because He does not have dominion or authority in the earth. God needs our permission to act on our behalf, in the earth. He cannot and will not impose His will, which is His Word , on us without our authorization, because dominion or authority in the earth belongs to us. And once again, we grant God permission or authorization to act on our behalf, in the earth, by speaking, confessing or praying, the Word of God.

Whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth, will be loosed in heaven — Matthew 18:18

From the horse’s mouth! Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior said, that whatever we forbid on earth, will be forbidden by heaven or God and whatever we permit on earth, will be permitted by heaven or God! Jesus understood that dominion or authority in the earth, was given to humans, in Genesis 1:28. And we forbid or permit, what happens or does not happen, in the earth or our lives, by speaking or confessing, the relevant Word of God, for specific situations or circumstances. This is why it is important to study, the Word of God, so we can know, which Word of God to apply to which situation.

Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap — Galatians 6:7

The opposite is also true. Whatever a man does not sow, that he will also not reap. God is not responsible for what we reap or experience and He is also not responsible for what we don’t reap or don’t experience. If God was responsible for what we reap or experience, then what we sow or don’t sow, would not matter! And we cannot wait on God, because God is waiting on us to act, by sowing the right seed, so He can grow it and give us a harvest or outcome. Both the natural world and the spiritual world, operate on the principle of sowing and reaping.

Whoever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully, will also reap bountifully — 2 Corinthians 9:6

Just like in the natural world, the farmer who sows more seed or farms a bigger field, reaps a bigger harvest, and the farmer, who sows less seed or farms a smaller field, reaps a smaller harvest, so too in the spiritual world, the outcomes are similar, for those who are fully committed and consistent and those who are not. The preceding scripture, also informs us that, even though God created and loves everyone, everyone does not get the same from God, because everyone doesn’t have the same commitment and focus, to the things of God. And it also, tells us that doing nothing and expecting God to miraculously work on our behalf, is an empty dream. God only acts on His spoken Word.

For by your words, you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned — Matthew 12:37

Notice, that our fate or destiny is not decided by God, Jesus, angels the prophets or the devil, but by the words, out of our own mouths? So, it is really up to us, to decide what to speak over our lives. We can speak or confess, what God spoke or we can speak, contrary to what God spoke. We can speak or confess life and blessings, or we can speak or confess death and curses? Keeping quiet and not opening our mouth, to speak what God spoke, in the face of negative situations or circumstances is a bad option, that can sometimes be deadly. Remember to regularly speak, confess or pray the Word of God, to be on the safe side!

Praise The Lord, Glory To God!
