Initial Reaction & Research

My first thought when I saw this image, I felt that I had to focused on it because I didn’t understand it at first . I think this artwork is about the thing that died or waste but still reminds beautiful because it has a good position and colorful but has a dead insect lying in the middle of the picture, therefore , I understand that it is about lifelessness , death , painful but it still beautiful on it.

This artwork by Maisie Cousins the photography has always wanted to make a mess. For her , “Nature is always beautiful and disgusting. Even the most beautiful people leak, bleed and shit.” Consins insight and confronts reality about where the beautiful and the grotesque are simultaneously. For her, Western culture is obsessed with bodies in such a creepy way whether it be celebrity bodies, mutilated bodies and obese people. She think in Western culture is too preoccupied but it makes people intention in health.

At first, I thought that is about a large inflatable rubber placed in black. I like the way that artist design the shape of a boat also has a passengers and children who wearing a life jackets . I understand that is an evacuation boat because they didn’t have a face and look depressed . Also, at the wall there were photos of people in many places and it has photos which is like a diary of what they are going through, how they are eating , what they do each day, etc.

Ai Weiwei is the artist of this work .Accompanying “Law of the Journey” is a wallpaper featuring photographs taken by Ai on an iPhone while making the documentary film “Human Flow”, 2017. Also displayed as part of the installation are four video works. Filmed over several days, “At Sea”, 2016, shows overcrowded, inflatable rafts delivering a constant flow of people to the shores of the Greek Island of Lesvos. This work, at first glance, it looks like a barcode and I didn’t know what the language is , but it is a barcode with a head. As it has the meaning of it, if you take a look closely, it will have a meaning. Nevertheless , you have to find some angle to read. I guess it is a code to ask for help like a Mos code because Mos code it use for among workers in vulnerable areas to deliver news in times of crisis such as flashing lights, taps , etc. I am interested in this work because many people are looking at the text and find some way to read what the artist wrote down and what artist mean .

Her work approach and interrogating stems from observing Minah Son republishing biblical texts using MinahSon’s letters , a barcode-like form of typography that is legible only from a certain angle also she created this after experiencing a “restricted but not absolute” condition when learning a new language. In her project she interrogates the fabricated meanings and values; and in the project where she shares things with neighbors, she questions the value of objects. She delves into how “value” is constructed through these works that involve installation, object creation, community projects, and performance art.

My first thought about this sculpture , It was about the story of Human beings who hang around with stupidity the word stupid is used with buffalo, such as the phrase “ Stupid like a buffalo, that is, our people is no different from a buffalo.I also like the color of the sculpture it’s has many color on it I thought about the our thoughts are different. Flow (2020) by Souliya Phoumivong reflects remote life in Ban Kokxay, near the Mekong River. Through stop-motion animation, handmade clay models of colorful water buffaloes and humans are depicted as they move dumbly into the abyss. Through obedience and submission, the herd walk in a row without disruption. Some water buffaloes, however, become more equal than others. They transform into humans striding on highways that lead hopelessly to nowhere. Greed and gluttony eventually take them to their final escape destination.

When I saw the sculpture I thought about a tank that is a war vehicle , it great power a large military fighting vehicle designed to protect those inside it from attack, driven by wheels that turn inside moving metal belts . It’s just a normal scrap car, but he gives it beautiful colors and patterns. Making it look like a dreadful appearance, not a normal piece of iron I think the artist intended to design these tanks to be valuable and unique.

Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch is a ceramic artist, also known for his photography, sculpture, installations and public art.In BAB 2020 Supanichvoraparch presents ceramic sculpture Tank (2020). He was fascinated by how Chinese blue-and-white porcelain from the Ming and Qing dynasty were used as exchange for mounted troops, thus he created porcelain tanks as symbols of value exchange and currencies. The porcelain tanks will be precious collectable objects while the military tanks will become metal junk sold as scraps.

First time I thought the clip showed a little heart still beating. Until it stops beating slowly, I felt that it was very frightening and dejected because the heart was dissect and still beating, I felt it was a torture but around the outside there are flowers it’s very colorful I thought it mean a little child was hurt by the people who were there parents it’s painful because children do not have the ability to fight against an adult , also it looks painful and tortured.

First time when I saw is painting I thought about the story of religion because it look like the picture of hell in Buddhism . For example, it has many kind of animals they were doing something and having someone take charge of it is like hell. It reminds me of images of Thai temples with stories painted on temple walls or by temple pendal . However , in my opinion it seems that artists are trying to convey how to connect religion with western characters, Mickey Mouse which is a famous cartoon of Disney.

Firstly , when I saw it I thought about the story of Muslim religion which having a God. When I saw the video first time , I still didn’t understand how the game would convey people because of the strange characters. A flashy fantasy style , But I like the way they created a very diverse and unique character. The main character dressed up reminded me of Gundam, which is a famous Japanese animation. I also thought that artists might be inspired from the Gundam story to design the set and the story of this artwork.

Multimedia artist Lu Yang’s fantastical, often morbid visions of death, sexuality (or a-sexuality), mental illness, and neurological constructs of both, real lifeforms and deities, manifest themselves in immersive work that is fully embracing the “now”, where reality and virtuality intersects to represent the world we live in. Lu’s work spans 3D-animated films, video game-like installations, holograms, neon, VR and even software manipulation.

When I saw this artwork I was interested in this painting because I like the technique of painting on canvas it realistic and I like the tone that artist use . When I was looking at the picture i have a question because I didn’t know what happened in that place and I didn’t know where is it , but I think the artist want to narrative on the canvas .

Haevan Lee, The artist has created painting-sculptures by superimposing the layers of landscapes that she experienced while staying at Peace Culture Bunker, an anti-tank defense shelter built after armed North Korean.Originally, the Peace Culture Bunker (an anti-tank defense shelter) was one of the military facilities constructed at strategically important spots during the Korean War on the shifting courses of the North Korean forces.

The first thought I interested in her work because Ono remains outspoken in her support of feminism and against the evils of racism and sexism also this topic is very important nowaday and it’s a matter that everyone is paying a lot of attention on it.

The video presented the performance Cut Piece, that shows the subconscious of people are cut her clothes .Yoko Ono is performance the seminal work Cut Piece (1964–66) in Kyoto, Tokyo, New York and London. Ono invited members of the audience to cut off pieces of her clothing as she sat silently.I think she want to show about the sexual harassment that happened in those days , also Ono has been an activist for peace and human rights since the 1960s. The artwork makes it clear to understand the way that artist wants to convey the audience in this performance.

Our project we have to research for the people who love or interested in different type of food. We found out the common emotion for a foodie is the sense of discovery. They are always eager to find a new test.We also study our community behaviour.

First , Our The target audience . Food is the part our essential need in everyday, So it hard to separate normal people from foodie. Since , we need to create an Instagram page narrow down our target audience to follow on Instagram so we research the hangtag about the foodie we looking for life style , who are they following , what type of video that they interested.

Also we create the instagram “PlaceOnPebble”.

The final out come we can convey the follower that are the foodie because they post a lot of food and share the food on Instagram .

About the poster that I created to convey the value of things in an age of technology. From the articles I’ve read, I understand that objects or artwork, whether it’s anyone’s, are always worthy of it. It’s about how we give value ourselves. So I designed a poster that was modern and the eyes were different because people had different ideas and there is a different perspective.

After doing a skating , I choose a technique that used EE pencils and Chinese ink to design the final work. A meaning of this drawing has inspiration by “Wu Zetian” she was just a woman, but she was smart and intelligent, which made her powerful and frustrating.

Empress Wu was granted certain honors and privileges which were not enjoyed by any Chinese empresses before or after. After Gaozong’s death, Empress Wu as Empress dowager and regent conquered power independently and uniquely, and seven years later, she seized the throne in the Zhou dynasty, becoming the only empress regnant in Chinese history.
