One of the most powerful features of the new user guide page is the AI chatbot, located at the top-right corner of the page.

You can ask the chatbot questions just like you would in a conversation, and it will provide accurate answers based on existing posts — or suggest related articles along with direct links.

★ Discontinuation of the Video Editing Feature

The PRISM mobile app has provided video editing functionality in addition to live streaming features. However, we have decided to discontinue support for the video editing feature. This decision was made to allow the PRISM team to focus our resources and efforts on the live streaming feature, which has a growing user base and is experiencing rapid growth.
We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.

As a result, starting with the new version scheduled for release at the end of January 2025, the video editing feature will no longer be available. Additionally, the thumbnail area in the bottom-left corner of the VIDEO tab, which connects to video files for editing, will be removed. However, the app’s camera and recording features will continue to be available as before.

★ Complete and Save Editing for Draft Videos

The PRISM mobile app has supported a draft feature for video editing. This feature allowed users to save the editing progress at a specific point and return later to continue editing from where they left off.

However, with the new version scheduled for release at the end of January 2025, the draft feature will also no longer be available. If the app is updated while there are unfinished draft videos, those drafts will no longer be accessible within the app, and there will be no alternative way to recover them.

To avoid losing your work, we strongly recommend that you complete the editing of any unfinished drafts or save them as full video files in their current state. You can access your drafts by tapping the round profile icon at the top-right corner of the app, as shown in the left image below, which will take you to [My Page]. In the [VIDEO] tab at the bottom, you’ll see a list of your current drafts.

Please select each video to enter the editing mode, finalize your edits, and save the video to your device. This will ensure that all your hard work and editing history are securely preserved. Thank you.

PRISM Mac v1.2.0 update contains the following new features:

★ PRISM chat source improvement

The template designs for the chat theme have been improved and one new template has been added.

In the improved source properties window, you can set detailed settings for each template, including Display settings, chat effects, font and background color settings.

★ Support scene templates

New scene templates are provided for macOS to create a variety of atmospheres for your live streaming.

★ New template added to text template

Kick and CHZZK channel templates, Naver search templates have been added to the SOCIAL category.

★ Audio mixer improvement

In previous versions, audio sources were only sorted alphabetically and could not be adjusted, but now you can change the order of audio sources by dragging them.

★ OBS 30.1 Update

The PRISM iOS v3.5.0 & Android v4.5.0 updates include the following new features:

• 3D VRM VTuber feature
• Announcement feature

★ 3D VRM VTuber feature​

Since December 2016, when the Japanese YouTuber Kizuna AI began broadcasting using a virtual character, VTubing has rapidly spread within subculture communities. It has experienced even more significant growth entering the 2020s, and as of 2024, it has become a mainstream aspect of the media entertainment market.

Meanwhile, live streaming has become one of the primary platforms for VTubers to interact with their fans. Their VTubing content can easily be found on major global live platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and CHZZK.

However, despite the significant growth of VTubing, it has largely been confined to PC environments. This is because the necessary technologies for VTubing — such as avatar players, facial and motion capture, and avatar streaming — have only been available on PCs.

To address this, the PRISM Live Studio mobile app has introduced a 3D VTuber feature, allowing anyone to easily engage in casual VTubing in a mobile environment.

3D VRM VTuber feature

You can access the VTuber feature by clicking on the [Vtuber] tab in the live preparation screen. In addition to the previously offered 2D avatar feature, a VRM model-based 3D avatar feature has been added.

<Supported Devices for 3D VRM VTuber Feature on iOS>

The feature is available on iOS devices equipped with a Depth Camera that supports Face ID. Supported devices include:

• iPhone: 12 and later
• iPad: 10th generation and later
• iPad Air: 4th generation and later
• iPad mini: 6th generation and later
• iPad Pro: 11-inch, 4th generation and later
• iPad Pro: 12.9-inch, 5th generation and later

Avatar selection feature.

You can create their own avatars using VRoidStudio or download avatars created by others from websites like VRoidHub or Booth to use with the PRISM app’s VTuber feature.

However, the PRISM team has also developed and provided basic 3D avatars to make it easier for you to start VTubing within the app.
You can simply choose the avatar they wish to use.

Real-time facial expression capture

The PRISM app’s VTuber feature captures the user’s facial expressions in real-time using the smartphone’s front camera and applies them directly to the avatar. The VTuber feature also supports facial functions that enable avatars to display more natural expressions.

Avartar settings feature

To help you achieve a more natural VTubing experience, the PRISM app’s VTuber feature offers various options. You can position your avatar at the right size and place on the screen, adjust the sensitivity of the avatar’s movements, and fine-tune the lighting’s color and intensity to create an avatar that blends seamlessly with the background.

Emotion / Items / Background feature

The PRISM app’s VTuber feature applies the user’s facial expressions to their avatar in real-time, while also offering enhanced emotion features such as Joy, Happy, Angry, Sorrow, and Fun to maximize emotional connection with fans.

Additionally, it provides items like desks and microphones, which can be placed in front of the avatar to add personality to your stream, as well as various background images that can be placed behind the avatar to create an overall atmosphere.

VRoid Hub Integration

​The PRISM app’s VTubing feature supports importing VRM models stored on your mobile device. This allows you to easily bring in and use the same VRM models you’ve previously used in PC environments.

In addition, we’ve integrated the most widely-used VRM model distribution platform, VRoidHub, through a login system to make it easier for you to access and use VRM models.

You can easily download avatars you’ve created and registered on VRoidHub or use avatars made by others, and immediately use them for VTubing in the PRISM app.

★ Announcement feature

A new in-app announcement feature has been added, allowing you to stay informed about important updates from the PRISM app. You can access the announcement section directly from the login screen, so you don’t need to log in to the app to check the announcements.

The announcements section is divided into two tabs: the [Announcements] tab, which provides important information for using the app, and the [Updates] tab, which shares news about newly added features. You can find the announcements section under the app’s settings menu.

First, to use NDI sources on your Mac, you’ll need the following two programs:
1. OBS NDI Plugin
2. NDI Runtime

Since the NDI feature in PRISM Live Studio is provided as a plugin, NDI sources won’t appear in the app’s source list if the plugin isn’t installed.

For more detailed instructions on how to use NDI sources, please refer to the guide below.

★ Added on-device AI script extraction feature. (supports English only)

After ending a live broadcast on the PRISM mobile app, you can use the AI script extraction feature to transcribe the audio from the broadcast. This feature leverages NAVER CLOVA’s AI Speech technology.

* CLOVA Speech

The transcriptions can be saved and shared in TXT, SRT, and CSV formats directly to other apps installed on your device.

The AI script extraction is processed within the PRISM app on your device, ensuring faster and more secure handling without relying on external servers.

★ Added support for HEVC (H.265) streaming to YouTube. (iOS only)

The PRISM iOS app now supports H.265 (HEVC) encoding, allowing for higher quality video with the same data usage when streaming to YouTube.

Previously, the PRISM mobile app only used H.264 encoding for video streaming. However, since the YouTube live platform now supports receiving H.265 (HEVC) encoded streams, PRISM has enabled H.265 (HEVC) encoding specifically for YouTube streams.

(This feature is also being prepared for the PRISM Android app.)

The following images illustrate the quality differences between H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) encoding. By enlarging the images to their original size, you can make detailed comparisons, such as the patterns in the couch fabric.

H.265 (HEVC) encoding is automatically applied only for single streaming to YouTube. For multi-streaming, H.264 is used.

★ Updated Android Target API level to 34. (Android only)

In the latest PRISM Android v4.4.0 update, we have updated the app’s Android Target API to 34 in accordance with Android OS policies.

Due to this change, the flow for selecting media files such as images and videos in the PRISM Android app may vary for some users. Please understand that this is a follow-up to OS-level policy changes aimed at ensuring safer app usage.

PRISM Lens Mac v1.0.3 update contains the following new features.

★ Added camera rotation and mirroing features

Buttons for rotating and mirroring the image have been added to the top-right corner of the preview area on the main screen.

When the rotate button is clicked, the image rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the current mirroring status. When the mirror button is clicked, the image is flipped horizontally.

★ Added lighting feature

In the app’s right sidebar, clicking the [More] button, represented by three dots, provides access to the portrait lighting enhancement feature, which gives the effect of brightening the subject in the image.

The brightness of the lighting can be adjusted using a slider, with a range from 1 to 5.

★ Added Discord server connection button

A Discord connect button has been added to the right sidebar of the app screen, allowing easy access to the official Discord server for the PRISM community.

★ Added Japanese language support

Click the settings button in the lower-right corner and select Japanese in the language settings to change the language.

PRISM Lens Mac 1.0.3 update contains the following new features.

★ Added Rotate camera and Mirror camera buttons

A rotate camera button and a mirror camera button have been added to the top of the main screen.

When you click the mirror camera button, the camera is flipped left/right on the current screen, and when you click the mirror camera button once, it rotates 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the mirroring status.

★ Added Improved portrait lighting

Clicking on the new button added to the sidebar gives the effect that only the person in the camera is brightly lit, and the brightness value ranges from 1 to a maximum of 5.

★ Added Discord button

Click on the sidebar Discord button on the main screen to enter the Prism Live Studio community.

★ Added Japanese language support

Click the settings button in the lower right corner and change the language to Japanese in the language settings.
