Yesterday I wrote my first blog. To be honest, I am not very used to typing on a laptop yet. Still, my first piece was about why I want to go to Nepal and why I am manifesting Nepal in my life. I have always been a bit of a homebody, but I am deeply obsessed with mountains. Whenever I am in the mountains, my mind and body feel lighter, calmer, and more at peace. And I consider myself lucky because I have a partner who loves the mountains even more than I do. We both currently live in a city because of our studies and work. You could say we are two people constantly running with the hands of a clock in a busy urban life. Still, since childhood, I have had a dream — to travel, to write, to capture photos, and to turn videos into small documentaries. slowly, it feels like that dreamn is starting to come true.

on our last trip, we want to north bengal. we rode bikes through the roads, got soaked in the rain, and enjoyed the forests. we stood under waterfalls and shared quiet moments together. whether it was off-road paths or mist-covered mountain roads, we enjoyed every bit of it .in those few days, all the past sadness, stress, and heaviness seemed to fade away we feel the most peacefull when we are close to the mountain.

sometimes I think, if I could escape this rushed life completly, it would feel so good. now I understand why Bunny in YEH JAWAANI YEH DEEWANI loved the mountain so much-why he wanted to leave city life behind and explore the world. If I ever get chance, I would also travel the world like Bunny, with just two tickets and my partner-no stopping, just roads and skies as our companions.

sakura in july

Today I want to talk about my dream destination — Nepal.
There are many places I wish to visit, but Nepal will always be the best and the closest to my heart. If someone asks me why I love Nepal so much, I probably won’t be able to explain it properly. Maybe my love for Nepal started after watching that Chhota Bheem movie set there. Since then, Nepal has felt like heaven to me.

Nepal is breathtakingly beautiful — clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Every time I travel to the mountains, I discover new Nepali songs and instantly add them to my playlist. I can understand Nepali a little now, though I still can’t speak it fluently. But the language itself sounds beautiful. Otherwise, how could I listen to Nepali songs continuously for hours?

I’ve watched only one Nepali movie in my life, yet I’ve repeated it almost 20 times and cried every single time.

The traditions, culture, and lifestyle of Nepal feel so pure and organized. Sometimes I feel like life would be happier if I could just stay there forever. Maybe because the country I grew up seeing is no longer the same anymore.

The Nepali artists whose voices have become part of my everyday life — during studies, work, emotional moments, or bad days — are Sushant KC, Wangden Sherpa, Susan Chapagain, Swoopna Suman, Apoorva Tamang, Yabesh Thapa, Ujan Shakya, and Sajjan Raj Vaidya.
And honestly, the list is much longer than this. But my most favorite song will always be Kafle.

Another reason I admire Nepal is the civic sense of its people. They keep their surroundings clean, organized, and cared for. Honestly, every country should be like that. But sadly, my own country is slowly becoming dirtier, just like the mindset of many people living in it.

Anyway… now I’m manifesting the day I finally go to Nepal.
When will I trek to Annapurna Base Camp?
When will I take photos there with the person I love?

To me, Nepal is nothing less than heaven.

shilpi
