            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A letter from OMNI:</p><p>Woven into the fabric of today’s cultural zeitgeist lie loose threads of poorly spun yarn, unraveling at their strands due to corporate greed and a cognitive dissonance bearing the masses.</p><p>Social media, a conduit for microtrends and baseless hype, has convinced even the best of us to prioritise dupes and knock-offs over quality and authenticity in this tireless zero-sum game of keeping up with the Joneses. In a time where underutilising and overconsuming have become normalised,<strong> <em>OMNI seeks to push back</em>.</strong></p><p>As the fashion industry continues to jeopardise the well-being of our planet and people, we realise fundamental changes need to be made, from the bottom up. We can no longer stand by and watch as ill-intentioned and ill-informed fashion syndicates take centre stage, all while the brands actively trying to retribute and undo the harm caused by the industry are left in the shadows.</p><p>It is time we appreciate the craftsmanship, artistry, and labour intrinsic to our clothing rather than treating it as an expendable commodity. <strong><em>Sustainability and ethics should not be an added bonus; they should be the norm.</em></strong></p><p>The cultural mindset around fashion needs to change. Our perception and understanding of clothing need to change. Our behavior toward consumption needs to change. The fashion industry needs to change.</p><p>This will be no easy feat, but we are up for the challenge.
