Freeman Capital (http://freemancapital.co) is pleased to announced that we were selected to join the Fall Session of the Triad Start Up Lab supported by the City of Greensboro. The Triad Start Up Lab was created to help businesses grow, receive expert counsel and advice on growing and scaling a business. Freeman Capital leadership will meet with industry experts and guided to help launch our platform.

Calvin Williams, founder of Freeman Capital says, “this is another pillar in our foundation to address the wealth inequality gap in america by ensuring our company is even better prepared to help our customers start building wealth.”

The program focuses on the lean startup method of business expansion, combined with design thinking process, helping to identify validate and test customers and new markets. The program will run from September 8 through October 4.

We were pleased to receive notification that Freeman Capital was invited to participate in the semi-final round of the 2016 National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Innovation Whiteboard Challenge Competition. The Innovation Whiteboard Challenge® is an intense, A-game competition where entrepreneurs armed with only an electronic whiteboard, marker, and their salesmanship are given five minutes to present their business idea to a panel of venture capitalists, academicians, and established businesspeople. One lucky finalist will walk away with a $10,000 grand prize.

Our team is excited to participate and encouraged that others are seeing the value in trying to solve the wealth inequalities in our communities. It is our goal to build wealth for the ignored investors and the fact that others see value is even more motivation to push forward.

The semi-final round will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in New Orleans, LA from 2:00 PM CST to 5:00 PM CST. Starting Thursday, October 13, 2016, on our Instagram (www.instagram.com/FreemanCapital), we will post live stories of the journey and experience! Join us.
