I’m still in shock that it’s already July. Like where did all the time go?

After 6 months on Medium, I can confidently say that I am not a successful case study of someone who can make a lot of money on Medium. I still need to keep my day job (luckily, I love it) and I will continue to have one for the foreseeable long-term future.

However, I’ve really enjoyed my writing on Medium and feel that I’ve learned a lot from the process.

I’m a sucker for good data. So when I came across, Amardeep Parmar’s article titled “A Statistical Breakdown of $4,345 in 6 Months on Medium”, I thought to myself:

“Oh I’ve been recording my own data of my writing on Medium for the past 6 months, why not share what I’ve discovered myself, it could be helpful.”

So thank you Amardeep for your insightful article written a year ago, as it still resonated with me today, and heavily inspired me to write this one.

So that’s what I’m doing. Unfortunately, I don't go as in-depth with my data (I wish I had recorded tags and article length!) as Amardeep, but there are still some interesting insights that could be valuable to other writers…
