Book Review: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
My favorite in high school life.
My high school class was composed of different fantasy supporters: big fans of Harry Potter, Warriors, The Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire… I couldn’t name all. Mistborn was the less popular one, but it became the first fantasy I fell in love with. I borrowed the books from different libraries, just to make sure I always had them in my locker, until my pocket money was enough to buy the whole series.
Before reading Mistborn, I was not a fan of fantasy. I usually prefer stories that make me feel closer to my life and consider fantasy too far away from my world. However, I felt related to the characters and their emotions in Mistborn, and thus I realized fantasy could be close to my life, my emotion too.
This review is written after another read of Mistborn recently. I reread it again just to make sure my high-school taste was quite right.
An introduction: Mistborn is a fantasy trilogy written by American author Brandon Sanderson. It is composed of The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages.
The trilogy is about how Vin and her friends overthrow The Final Empire, how they set up their own empire, figure out how their magic system works and save the world. Allomancy is one of the most…
