What is a Kicker?

A Kicker is Text, Image, Link or any of the allowed Medium objects. If nothing else, using Text, it is a nice way to classify and organize your stories for readers (and yourself). A Kicker lives above the Title of your story.

Without a Kicker

Without a Kicker you have the typical Title and Sub-Title as below.

With a Kicker

The Kicker can be any of the standard Medium objects or formats. A picture, a link, or Text formatted as a Title, Sub-Title, etc.

How Do I Create a Kicker?

To create a Kicker,

  1. Type your Title
  2. Click at the front of your Title and hit Enter

It should look as below,
