Fatal Flaws As Beginners on Medium

Yes, I was once that “beginner”

I was once that new, energetic writer on Medium. After finishing the initial drafts, I would feel ecstatic and joyous. Writing on Medium was a new journey that I had embarked on.

As enthusiastic as I was, my “recommended” lists of articles were all about how to write for better engagements, more reads, and how to provide more value to my readers. As a result, I deliberated about one full month before releasing my first ever article on Medium.

Writing articles on Medium is fine and all, but I find myself restrained by my schedule — I was only truly free on the weekends.

But being the regimental and disciplined person I am, I created a plan to draft and post one article every two weeks. Having set this regime, I proceeded with what I needed to do. Churning out the articles seemed fine at the beginning. Fresh, exciting ideas popped up in my head and the surge of beginner’s motivation had me charging forward like a bull.

Then. Reality struck. This happened after my sixth month of writing(in June 2021) — wherein truth it was triggered probably after 3 months in.

As I sunk deeper into the depth of writing, I found myself in an awkward position. What was once enjoyable and intriguing became dull and monotonous.
