Here’s a tribute to all the amazing woman writers of all the time.

There is no doubt, that women writers have always proven themselves with their writing skills, and their efficiency to create an imaginary world with their words is not hidden. books written by female authors are always way more expressive, intriguing, and well-written.

The Month of march is celebrated as women’s history month. the contribution of our women writers is truly commendable and for this reason; I am giving a tribute to all those female writers who have once ruled the writing industry and have left a remarkable mark on it.

So, people let's look at the struggle and workings of these famous female writers who are still unforgivable.

  1. Jane Austen

Jane Austen (1775–1817) was an English novelist known for her novels that depicted the lives of the landed gentry during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. She was born on December 16, 1775, in Steventon, Hampshire, England, to a family of modest means.

Austen began her writing career at a very young age as her parents encouraged her to read and write. she published her most famous well-loved novels at the age of the ’20s. like; Pride and prejudice, sense and sensibility, and Northanger Abbey.

Jane Austen never loved fame. she published all of her books with anonymous names and did not by revealing her own identity until her death. Austen also never got married during her whole life and spent most of her time taking care of her family.

Jane Austen will always remain closer to our hearts, as her literary work is so soulful and beautiful. she has definitely given a huge contribution to the world of literature through her mesmerizing writings.

2. Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie (1890–1976) was an English novelist known for her detective novels, many of which featured her famous character, Hercule Poirot. She was born on September 15, 1890, in Torquay, Devon, England, to a wealthy family.

Christie started developing her love for writing at a very early age. she wrote her first novel The Mysterious Affair at Style during world war 1 when she was working as a nurse. Her first novel introduced her most beloved character of all time; Hercule Poirot.

Throughout her career, Agatha christie wrote about 60 novels, including mystery works, short stories, and much more. her books sold more than 2 billion copies across the world; making her the bestselling author of all time.

Chrisite’s personal life was not so easy and fulfilled with drama and intrigue. she got divorced from her husband at a very early stage of married life. despite the ups and downs in her life, she never refused to write and keep entertaining the readers with her most loved mystery novels.

Agatha christie has always been so commendable with her writing skills. she never disappointed us when it comes to her mysterious character plotting. her novels are well-loved still in the present century and will always be remembered by millennia of generations.

3. J. K. Rowling

JK Rowling (born July 31, 1965) is a British author known for her immensely popular Harry Potter series. She was born in Yate, Gloucestershire, England, and grew up in Chepstow, Wales, and later in Bristol.

Rowling had a very difficult childhood as her parents got divorced and her mother struggled with multiple sclerosis. rowling worked at numerous jobs before getting into writing. she moved to London at a very young age and earned her livelihood by working at several different kinds of jobs. but rowling never gave up and kept writing in her spare time.

Life twisted for j.k. rowling in the year 1997 when her first novel got published which attained a huge success immediately; yes you guessed it right Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Rowling went on to write six more books in the series, all of which became bestsellers and were adapted into blockbuster films.

In addition to her work as an author, Rowling has also been an advocate for various social issues, including poverty and inequality, and has donated millions of dollars to charity. she always raises a voice about social issues and is a very active citizen.

J.K. Rowling has made our childhood so much precious and worth living with her beautiful novels and she still makes us smile whenever we hold the books of the harry porter series. rowling has truly contributed her best in the field of literature and has won so many hearts and love from her fans.

4. Arundhati Roy

Arundhati Roy is an Indian author, political activist, and essayist, born on November 24, 1961, in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. She is best known for her novel “The God of Small Things,” which won the Booker Prize in 1997.

Roy was brought up in Kerala, India. her mother was a political activist and her father was a tea plantation manager. she attended her university to pursue a degree in architecture but in between, she left it, to fulfilling her career in writing.

In the year 1997, Arundhati Roy published her first novel “The god of small things” which got huge critical acclaim from readers and writers. her book won the booker prize of the year and became an international bestseller. Roy has written numerous non-fiction books and essays on topics ranging from politics and culture to feminism and environmentalism. Some of her notable works include “The Algebra of Infinite Justice,” “An Ordinary Person’s Guide to Empire,” and “Capitalism: A Ghost Story.”

Arundhati Roy has given some of the best pieces of literature of the Indian era. and her beloved novels are truly a piece of gems. despite a controversial career in the political industry, she has putten her soul and heart to make her readers remember her for her writings.

5. Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is an Indian-American author and poet, born on July 29, 1956, in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. She is known for her novels, short stories, and poetry that explore themes of cultural identity, women’s rights, and the immigrant experience.

Divakaruni grew up in a traditional Bengali family and attended Calcutta University, where she earned a degree in English Literature. She later moved to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in English at the University of California, Berkeley.

In the late 1980s, Divakaruni began writing fiction, drawing on her experiences as an immigrant to explore the complexities of cultural identity and the challenges faced by women. Her first collection of short stories, “Arranged Marriage,” was published in 1995 and was a critical and commercial success.

In addition to her literary work, Divakaruni has also been active in promoting literacy and women’s rights. Her novel “The palace of illusions” has attained huge fame in the field of literature. Readers still find that book to be mesmerizing and worth reading as it gives the perfect feeling of living in the history of the Indian epic ‘MAHABHARATA’.

Divakaruni has received numerous awards and honors for her writing, including the American Book Award, the Pushcart Prize, and the Light of India Award. She currently teaches creative writing at the University of Houston and continues to write fiction and poetry that explores the human experience in all its complexities.

The Contribution of all of these ladies is unforgivable in the field of literature and the way they've shown their presence and ruled the publishing industry is outstanding. On this special occasion of women’s history month; let's celebrate the women of literature who have given their lives to pen and paper and are still contributing in a magnificent manner.
