How Do I Rid Myself of Coffee Times?
The editor won’t stop sending me emails via Substack
A few weeks back, Coffee Times, a fairly new— but growing — Medium publication was removed from the platform. At its height, it had at least 1,000 followers, but probably more. (I’m not exactly sure how many. I really wasn’t counting).
You can read what happened to Coffee Times here. But now that Coffee Times is gone from Medium, the editor of the erstwhile publication has moved to Substack, a Medium competitor.
I was a writer for Coffee Times, which also means that I was on the email list for Coffee Times. But in light of the editors’ ejection from Medium — and the reasons for his ejection — I don’t want to receive the editor’s Coffee Times email from Substack, or any other means.
I can’t overemphasize just how hard I’ve worked to disassociate myself from Coffee Times.
First, I’ve unsubscribe from Coffee Times by using the link at the bottom of the email he sends me every several days. I’ve also tried — to no avail —to block his emails. Via his Instagram account, I messaged the editor of Coffee Times asking him to remove me from his email list.
I also have filed a complaint about the editor with Substack’s customer service team, but received an automated email that…
