How Writing In Multiple Niches Changed My Life on Medium

And how it can change yours too…

It’s been a little over two weeks of writing on Medium for me and I’ve learned quite a lot about how the platform works and what is and isn’t important to one’s success. One thing that I’ve definitely learned is the importance of a niche or niches.

What’s a Niche?

Niches are in short topics that you can write on on Medium. When one says that you have to find a niche, something I don’t agree with, it means that you have to find you ‘thing’ or your topic that you are going to center your writing on.

The Struggle of Finding a Niche on Medium

However, as I said, I disagree. When starting out on Medium, if you already know a niche that you want, then go with that niche. However, if you’re struggling to find a niche to focus on, I say don’t try.

I say this because instead of directly searching frantically for a niche that you may not even enjoy writing, I say write whatever you want. First of all, by writing whatever you want, you might find the niche you are destined for. Second of all, and more importantly, one central strictly binding niche is unnecessary.
