I Almost Got Banned From Medium After Escaping Curation Jail

I was 8 hours away from a permanent ban without even knowing it

A little over a month ago, I was in the midst of a fun personal challenge on Medium.

It was an attempt at some light humor with the objective of getting a celebrity author on Medium to reply, highlight, or like any of these articles.

The rules were simple:

1. Write one post per day about a subject relating to the celebrity
2. Put a personal touch on how it related to myself
3. Link and promote something from the celebrity in every article as a form of thanks or kudos
4. Stop once that person had any sort of engagement with the articles
5. Crack open the champagne!
