Newsbreak Suspended Me for Ice Cream Chillin’ Chillin’
I was one strike away from being permanently banned.
One more strike, and you are banned.
The first violation or strike is a warning. The second time you make a serious policy violation your account will be suspended and you will not be able to edit or publish content for one week. The third strike could result in termination from the platform.
If you believe the strike is not warranted, you may appeal the decision. Our+ moderation and trust & safety team will review the decision and respond accordingly.
I am new at NewsBreak. It is indeed hard to write for too many platforms. But I always tell people that today is the best time to be a writer, with many platforms paying writers.
Medium remains my home.
But I love writing about the news and add my insights and opinions. Unfortunately, my “news stories” don’t do well on Medium, and I don't know why they hardly get me any views or reads.
But maybe that is for the good of everyone. We don’t want Medium to become like Facebook, where misinformation has become ubiquitous: you have to double-check what you are reading.
