That morning cup was my holy grail, my wake up and get productive fast tool. But at the time I didn’t know I was fighting my own biology.

The Hidden Battle in Your Morning Routine

Have you ever experienced this? You wake up rubbing your eyes, stumble to your coffee machine, and gulp down that first hot cup of motivation.

After a short delay, you’re not only awake but you’re feeling wired. Yet something’s off. You’re jittery, maybe anxious and a little anxious, only to feel tired a few hours later.

That was my daily routine until I learned about cortisol — our body’s natural stress hormone. Here’s the thing you probably don’t know.
