Weekly update: 11.09.2017

We successfully launched Android Beta to the first group of Feeld Members, and are about to send it out to even more!

Product

• We will release another Beta version with a popup about Majestic Membership (not ready for Beta yet), fixes on the backend (which caused some crashes) and some UI touches.
• We’re working on making the chat even better.
• We’re preparing a Feedback Questionnaire for Android Beta Testers.

Design

• We’ve made several new design tweaks to make the UI much smoother in future releases.
• Making progress on a secret project we’ll share with you very soon.

iOS

• We’ve fixed messaging!
• Old messages and conversations now load correctly — no more issues with loading messages and empty chat conversations.
• We worked on adding support to indicate when your messages are syncing and how long it will take. You will now see a loading indicator to let you know what’s going on. In most cases, the wait will be no more than a minute or two.
• We’ve continued to further refine user experience. You will now see a neat animation when you connect with another member and will be able to like/dislike members directly from the Future Connections screen.
• We’ve increased the limit of profile photos from five to six, and you will now always see your desired profile photo used as your avatar image everywhere throughout the app.
• iOS 11 updates!

Android

• We released a private beta of the new app, and we’ve already started working on improvements based on the feedback you gave us!
• Connections loading time has been improved and your conversations will now load much faster.
• If a member you’re chatting with doesn’t have an avatar photo, you will see a default one. This way you won’t experience infinite loading.
• Privacy improvements! Anyone who less than 2km away will now be shown as ‘Nearby’.
• We fixed the switch buttons in Privacy Settings, App Settings and Majestic Features, so they will no longer fail to update.
• In Future Connections you will now see a notification that you need to rate more profiles before loading new ones.
• We’re working on making Android multilingual — translations in different languages coming soon.

Backend

• We have a few internal projects going on, which will raise the bar when it comes to your privacy and experience. Watch this space.
• Preparing for more beta testers to join us!

More Android users will receive the Feeld Beta this week. We’re coming closer to making it available for iOS too, so stay tuned!
