Weekly update: 21.08.2017

This is our fist weekly report of what we’ve accomplished over the last week. Summary: We are getting there! 🐇

Product

• Prioritising some top secret projects that are going to be launched by end of the year.

Design

• Secret projects now have 99% completed designs.
• Finished tweaking CSS of the new in-app knowledge base for Feeld 4.0 and 2.0 (Android).
• A lot of cleaning up of our Sketch design files. Started using Zeroheight for our UI Kit.

iOS

• Massive update of Discover — refreshing after update in search preferences, refreshing after giving permission on location, removed empty discover at first launch, removed seeing profiles that are further away than user search preferences (in PR).
• Updates to UI and animations in the Menu — added soft white blur background.
• Added support to distribute builds via TestFlight.
• Removed tint colour from navigation bar when sending a photo.
• Resolved (some) project warnings relations to layout issues.
• Updated copy.
• Resolved animation lag in Discover.

Android

• Show a profile’s details section when a user swipes to the end of a user’s gallery.
• Tell backend if the user is scrolling “forwards” or “backwards” when fetching new batch.
• Line height on the text under Deactivate to match designs.
• Replace X icon with — icon on user profiles.
• Fix app crash when editing profile.
• Support for smaller devices
• Improve Tutorial text to not get pushed off screen on smaller devices.
• Messages indented on the left hand side.
• Upgrade layer version no fix sync issue.
• Fix “Pinch and Move” when sending photos.
• Animate images in chat.
• Slow swiping on Photo gallery navigation.
• Add easing to the rotating elements on the like and dislike buttons.
• Reduced Font Size in the “Be Open” tip at the start of a chat.
• Changed pagination dots library.

Backend

• Front plugin: add panel for pictures (in review).
• Front plugin: adding testing
• Switched our support bot from hubot to botkit.
• Reviewed and merged PR for adding backwards search to /discover endpoint.
• Made gender modifiable through /profile endpoint.
• Added script to rename core “Disabled” to “disabled” (in review).
• Implemented Sightengine scammer/celebrity detection (in review).
• Added a custom reason to user/block script (in review).

That’s it for now! As you can see we are making progress towards the launch.
