This June at InfoComm and the Tide 2018 Conference in Las Vegas, Tanvas debuted a partnership with Mimo Monitors, making the small touchscreen display experts the first to bring haptics technology to the digital signage and conference room display arena.

This partnership provides a combination hardware/software solution that allows experimentation with programming textures and multidimensional effects. With TanvasTouch®, proprietary surface haptic technology allows anyone to feel texture through the screen, cultivating a rich and powerful experience. The range of effects is endless — from distinguished edges, clicks and collisions, to textures such as smooth, bumpy, or soft. TanvasTouch is groundbreaking technology that allows people to feel what they see on screen for the first time.

TanvasTouch technology will be combined with Mimo Monitors’ small touchscreen displays and open frame technology later this year. The small, approachable size of the Mimo Monitors Vue Capacitive Touch Display allows the haptics-integrated experience to feel intuitive and personal, letting customers interact at a scale they’re already familiar with. Mimo Monitors has a reputation for reliability and pedigree in digital signage innovation and works with a wide variety of markets and Fortune 500 companies including Google, Hertz, and VeriFone.

In Las Vegas, Tanvas was able to join Mimo in their booth, demonstrating TanvasTouch technology at the conference. The event happened to coincide with the Stanley Cup Finals. Not ones to miss out on an opportunity, the Tanvas team developed a perfectly fitting demo that showcased how the grip of tape wrapped around a hockey stick would feel through the touchscreen compared to a stick without tape. The demo was so popular, it even attracted a visit from the Las Vegas Knights mascot, a Gila monster named Chance, who came by to feel the future of multidimensional touch.

The combination of TanvasTouch technology with Mimo Monitors digital signage and conference room displays allows the experience to feel approachable and intuitive, letting customers interact on an entirely new dimension. The collaboration between Tanvas and Mimo Monitors can serve as a cutting-edge tool to bring another dimension to once lifeless touchscreens and enhance digital signage experiences.

The joint solution is slated for Q418 availability. Pre-orders will be available to select partners.
