If you are an employee then clocking in extra working hours during a week in not something new to you. To add to this ordeal, city traffic ensures that you reach home energetic enough to drop on your bed.

With the given scenario assuming that working professionals can take out good amount of time to focus on their wellness is as good as a joke. So it’s not surprising that more and more people are finding it hard to stay in shape, and to lead healthy lifestyles.

If you too are suffering from lack of time here is a quick to-do list to help you feel more energised and fit even while working long hours during the week.

Let indulgence take a back seat:

I know this is easier said than done but guys you can’t be eating biryani, pizza or sundaes every sing day! Try and have a more balanced and simple diet during your work hours and you’ll feel more energised at the end of the day. This will also help you watch your weight without a lot of effort.

Walk as much as you can:

If your office is situated inside a tech park you have ample space available for a quick evening or post-lunch walk. Make sure you use this to your advantage. If your meeting is just 2 floors above try and take the stairs instead of the lift. If nothing, take breaks often to go say hi to your friends around the office.

Stretch at work and at home:

For 10 minutes in the morning or in the night do some basic exercises and stretch your body. Sitting on a chair for too long is not only harmful for your posture but also make your feel fatigued. So use a stretch as a break and if you find it embarrassing to do the stretches at work try and get your peers to do them too!

Get a good night’s sleep:

You’ve probably heard this for the 100th time now but a good night’s sleep is the best medicine for an energised start to the day. Make sure you sleep at least 6–8 hours a day to keep your body moving. On the plus side you’ll also notice a positive glow on your skin when your body is well rested.
