We all love traveling but the stress it puts on health can be pretty daunting at times. Taking extra care on health while planning your travel can avoid medical emergencies and other health glitches. Also, keeping fresh during a trip will bring a lot of enthusiasm around you by elevating your mood, who doesn’t want to rock those selfies?

Long or short, business or holiday travels- Don’t miss to hit the road with these items in your travel bags to pamper your wellness.

Hygiene Kit:

Your body faces lots of challenges during your travels. Breakouts, dryness, acnes in the skin and weakness of your body can potentially ruin your holiday mood.

Your basic health kit for travel should contain these items:

1. Body: Hand lotion or Sanitizer and Deodorant.
2. Oral Hygiene: Toothbrush, mini-toothpaste and Floss (optional).
3. Face: Face wipes and Face wash.
4. Eyes: Eye mask and Eye drops to reduce the stress on eyes — This is really a good investment and must-haves for travels. When you are on a business trip and travelling on a red-eye, imagine showing up for that important meeting with gritty and tired eyes right after your landing. No, you certainly wouldn’t want that. These help you hide those jet lag blues from our eyes.

Remember the key is to get travel friendly mini bottles. I try to save the free samples I get at stores or the complimentary bottles I get from the hotels I stay at. It’s easy to toss them out when they’re used up.

First Aid Kit:

Many travelers skip these items on the contrary to how important they are, as they tend to think that pharma stores are available at every corner of the world. Let me tell you, there were so many situations where this little kit came to my rescue. They definitely save your day when you have to go look out for your medicinal supplies at 11 in the night, for example or when you find out they don’t have your usual brand of medicine.

Strongly recommended items to be in your checklist:

1. Bandages, antiseptic(s): This is probably the first thing you want to pack.
2. Pills: Headache/pain medication, Anti-Diarrheal medication.
3. Insect repellent or anti-itch cream.
4. Vitamin + electrolytes packets.

Snacks Kit:

Make sure to throw some of these things in your carry-on luggage so that you can be prepared to attack the travel sickness or those moments when the meals on the plane doesn’t meet your expectations. They definitely help you to avoid those crazy expensive junk food at airport counters.

1. Dry fruits and Nuts
2. Fresh fruits (apple as it is travel friendly or even bananas)
3. Protein bars
4. Travel candies

While these are allowed in most of the airports to carry with you, make sure they are packed and sealed properly.

Happy Traveling!
