Balancing Your Weaknesses as a Startup Founder by Delegating — Founder Club

Examining your weaknesses is as important as examining your strengths. Doing so would help you delegate tasks you’re not good at performing to other team members who could execute more efficiently and effectively.

Your goal here is not to be focused on the egoic trend of trying to be a Jill of all Trades as female founders.

Your goal is to make your startup as successful as possible by systemizing regular tasks that are critical to your startup’s success.

Delegating your “weak” tasks doesn’t have to be difficult.

It’s common knowledge startup founders can hire a virtual assistant to complete repetitive tasks.

But what about delegating other tasks?

How about delegating email marketing, business development, cold calling, web design, even user testing, and sales?

The types of tasks that can be delegated are endless.

As a founder, I highly encourage other founders to focus on the tasks they’re genuinely keen to perform.

Being enthusiastic about performing a particular task helps boost your productivity and stems away any procrastination that arises from self-doubt or “dragging your feet” to get the task done.

As the founder, it’s more important for you to be executing on leadership and decision-making to push your startup through the inevitable lows that come from entrepreneurship.

All other tasks should be delegated to other founding team-members (or contractors, freelancers).

I hope that you found this post insightful!
