How you can show up for yourself and fulfill your passions
We are all born into certain families, society and environment. This shapes and influences our way of perceiving the world and responding to it.
On the other hand, we all have intrinsic desires and passions that we want to fulfill and experience in life. These desires give rise to our actions and determination to make it happen.
But how do we make them happen when there is a conflict between them and our life circumstances?
How do we navigate a journey full of unknowns and uncertainty?
In episode 31 on FemGems Podcast, we feature Marion Bott, founder of Blauhauch, and aspire to learn from her amazing story.
Marion Bott started her journey by pursuing acting, and later on writing.
Now, she is the founder of an all-female multidisciplinary theater company called Blauhauch, working with innovative methods like automatic writing and dream psychology to create their shows.
Her professional development included rebellious acts, as her family wasn’t initially supportive of her pursuit of creative endeavors. She shares:
“My passion and fire were so strong, that nothing could hold me back.”
“My anger took me forward.”
Healthy anger can be our drive in the face of opposition and setbacks we experience in life. We are meant to listen and work with our emotions rather than suppressing them.
Later on, Marion shares the struggles she experienced on her path from violence and sexual abuse and how she found her way through this traumatic experiences.
Learning from our experiences instead of perceiving them as something that happens to us and viewing ourselves as victims is the best way to move forward.
“Meeting all my mirrors, and all my insecurities was the seed of Blauhauch.”
For Marion, embarking on a spiritual journey brought her the much needed strength and foundation she needed to continue on her path.
One of the practices she started doing as part of her spiritual journey was writing everyday for one hour in a semi-hypnotic state to get in touch with the intuitive guidance we all have inside of us.
The process is called automatic writing.
Psychology insights show how committing to practicing one thing every day is essential if we want to build trust in ourselves.
Dr. Nicole LePera, psychologist, shares in her reparenting guide:
“Keep one small promise to yourself every day: This step should be so small that it’s seemingly insignificant. You need to choose something that puts you into a situation where you’ll succeed.”
The fact that we do one thing for ourselves every day shows that we value ourselves enough to show up for ourselves.
In this episode, Marion shares how the 11-minute practice can give us the answers we seek.
“Truth speaks out when I just sit down and ask myself.”
What is essential for this practice to work and give us insights and answers is to ask ourselves the right question.
“What is it that I really inquire in myself right now?”
Marion’s story shows that being radically honest with ourselves, having the willingness to commit to the needed change and action, followed by asking the right questions is a great way of personal and professional development.
We don’t need all the answers to pursue our dreams and perhaps that shows true courage: to not know the outcome but still go for it.
Marion currently offers dreamcoaching sessions for everyone who desires to experience transformation and is seeking to find guidance in life.
Dreamcoaching is the coaching from the soul. When we feel lost, it isn’t our mind that can help us find the way back, it is our soul. When our everyday reality becomes dull, meaningless, confusing, or overwhelming it is mainly because we have forgotten to listen to and embody our soul. Our soul is the part of us, that is most in touch with our true desires, visions and potential. Dreamcoaching calls you courageous people who are on the path of self-actualization, to remember why you are here, and supports you in tapping into your own source of infinite wisdom, love and power
Sessions can be held live in Berlin or via Zoom/Skype/Phone. Simply send her an email at: marion[@]marionbott.com
