Now I’m not saying that this equates the troubles the girls are in, have been in or could be in. Sometimes we can just be compassionate and not compare. I mean isn’t that kind of what we’ve been asking the men to do for us for a long time?
I know I know, take out your tiny violin it doesn’t do shit. I am no more a fan of the societal influences that created this than you are — but it needs to be faced.
I remember hearing some dude complain that there wasn’t a version of the girlscouts for men.. yup heard that right. That no one told them they could do anything. This is the same crap that is in the ballpark as when white women whinning that when Barack Obama being president meant that their white cisgender kid couldn’t somehow see himself in a leadership position because out of 40 plus presidents, one was black.
