The Architect

Leon stood at the balcony of his penthouse, overlooking the sprawling city of Kyon. The skyline glittered with the lights of towering skyscrapers, each one a monument to his power. He was an Alpha in every sense of the word: a leader, a ruler, a man who had never known failure. His father, and his father before him, had been Alphas too, each one adding another layer of dominance to the family’s legacy.

But tonight, as Leon stared into the abyss of the city, he felt a rare flicker of doubt. He had been instrumental in expanding Kyon’s borders, securing resources, and crushing any opposition. Yet, something was different now. The wars had ceased. The world had grown too small for the grand conflicts of old, and the Betas, who had once been the lifeblood of his conquests, were now without purpose.

His reflection in the glass was sharp, angular, a face carved from stone. But beneath that façade was a man haunted by the choices he had made. Leon had always believed that his position was justified — that the Alphas were the natural rulers, the rightful architects of society. But now, with the unrest spreading like wildfire, he wondered if he had built a structure doomed to collapse.
