2019 is the best time to get sh*t done or die trying!

Hmm….!

At this point, I have already figured that 24 hours in a day isn’t enough time to get all my sh*t done ..

I mean, with my full time job, side hustle, great ideas to execute, beauty sleep to catch up with, exercise routines to hustle through, and about 1000 other #adulting stuffs to settle…

But wait, doesn’t Michelle Obama have those same 24 hours?

How come she’s hitting all those good goals?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Time looks like it doesn’t want to stop for tea. The weeks add up, then become months , which turns into years and we’re not sure if we’ve made any progress at all.

The real question remains “How does one get all of those important things done well😗 and on time?”

1. Stay motivated

Motivation is the key to execution. Passion for what you are doing drives motivation! Not everyone has the good fortune to actually be paid for doing what they love and are passionate about.

Like me I love to watch Netflix all day, but I can’t seem to find any job that will pay me for that😥🤑🤑

If you are unlucky like me, what you can do is to find something you are passionate about and do on the side as your source of inspiration or motivation…this will give you all the right energy you need to get your sh*t together.

2. Write them Down!

Be specific! Put it into actionable statements and words. Even if they are huge and big dreams, it helps to have them written clearly on paper. Break them out into the small steps that you would be taking towards achieving them. Whether it’s project based, short term goals, annual achievements, or a lifelong vision, knowing what you are hustling for will fuel your drive and ensure your time is well spent.

3. Break it Down

People usually never get through their goals or new year resolutions, ( so chill gal, it’s not just you) because they make it feel like such an enormous task to tackle. Take one goal and break it out into a series of smaller goals that you can accomplish each month throughout the year. Then, take that one smaller goal and break it down into what you’ll handle per week at a time. This way, you know exactly what you should do, you can now schedule the appropriate chunks of time to do it and get that sh*t done.

4. Have a Checklist

Having a Todolist is not cliche. It helps us stay organized and goal oriented. Staying organized and tracking your progress with a task list helps you see what’s springing up. This way, what you haven’t planned ahead of doesn’t have to screw up your whole day.

You get to decide beforehand wherever you wish to schedule work or leisure time.

4. Prioritize

Always evaluate your priorities. Take the time to plan your to-do list based on the most cogent things to be done, this help you utilise your time as efficiently as possible. Writing down concepts, notes, and future tasks can help clear the clutter from your brain so you’re able to focus on the task in the moment.

5. Chunk it up

Set aside chunks of your time to power through and target solely the priorities you set for the day thus you’ll work as quickly and expeditiously as attainable. Knowing that you’ve put aside specific time for tasks can keep you on the right direction.

6. Re-set

The hustle is real, however, giving yourself time to rest and reset helps ensure you are productive and healthy within the long-standing time. If you’re perpetually making an attempt to run at full speed, you can get tired and anxious. Schedule in chunks of free leisure time. Exploit your vacation days to the fullest! This will enable you to remain reinvigorated and creative!

7. Stay off Social media

It’s no surprise we tend to can’t get things done once we dedicate hours of everyday staring senselessly at a screen. Make it easier on yourself and tune out of social media. Turn off notifications on your phone or get into plane mode. Set specific times that you’re allowed to log on to social media sites (and solely check at these times). I think you’ll find that when you hush the chatter of the online world, you’re able to get back into the groove of that pesky to-do list that’s been giving you side eyes since last week.

8. Recognize your Peak period.

I’m pretty useless within the late afternoon.🤦🏽

I used to start my day with emails, social media, and small, mindless tasks, which meant that I was doing The Big Stuff in the afternoon…when I was tired and not functioning at my best. Since I learnt this hack, my productivity has tripled. Figure out that time when you feel and work your best, then do all of the things that take the most brain power.

Twitter can wait. Promise.

Every single day counts leading up to your big dreams, and even though you can’t get it all done right now, every task adds up to something grand. By writing down your intentions, breaking down and scheduling priorities, and chunking out time to focus, you can make sure the work you’re doing is leading you in the right direction with each project you are taking on and each person you meet.

2019 is going to be a great year guys!

I can’t wait!
