Aloe on Kickstarter! 🎉
Dear Femsplain,
First, thank you for your support during our transitional phase. We have successfully refocused our efforts, and in the 3 months since we last spoke, there have been some exciting developments:
In June we said we’d be building a “self-care” app, and with help from our generous Femsplain members & Patreon supporters we were able to design and develop a prototype for Kickstarter.
Now — we’re raising $40,000 to build a self-care check-in app for iOS.
Modeled after Aloe’s existing web check-in that thousands have used, our iOS app will bring all the essential self-care tasks together in one place.
Aloe features a daily journal where you’ll get to answer 3 simple questions (“how was your day?”, “who is one person who makes you happy?” and “what is one thing you’ll do for yourself tomorrow?”).
This app has the potential to fill the gap in self-care for some of the most vulnerable communities: people of color, transgender and queer people, disabled or mentally ill people, and people on a limited income.
