This afternoon I went for a walk around the Dam in Armidale, NSW.

The first being I met on the walk

I was in a particularly energised frame of mind, possibly due to a great Fendfoods session with a great group of people, in combination with just seeing a very inspiring TED talk by Tai Lopez entitled — Why I read a book a day (and why you should too): the law of 33%

You can see it below if interested.

During the Fendfood session we focused on making compost just from leaves and how these leaves can be turned into a nutrient dense compost just on there own.

While walking alone but not at all feeling lonely in nature afterwards, I saw many examples of lichen, fungi, mycelium and moss making natural compost, albeit very slowly. Some pictures follow…

Under an old piece of wood — fungi and mycelium
The snail shell was lying just next to this lichen rock
Old trees hosting colourful — fungi?? anyone know?
