Artificial intelligence

AI is the newest most exciting way of portraying art. It it is not said that machine learning will replace artists but it can help them develop new techniques of expression and, actually, augment the current art reality. Also, AI can technically replicate an existing painting by using a selection of past artworks. For example, check out Le Comte de Belamy’s AI paiting. Or it can analyse an artist’s entire artwork, find the patterns and produce a new “original” piece of art by the same artist. For example, The Next Rembrandt.

Digital painting

Digital painting is one of the newest techniques around the bloque but probably the most innovative, different, intriguing and wide-spread one. You can even draw on your phone if you get that sudden airplane inspiration and there’s no paper and pencil nearby. Technology allows you to bring all your artwork anywhere with you without going through the trouble of carrying huge uncomfortable paper-folders.

Acrylic pouring

This type of technique uses acrylic or other types of paint. The paint is poured from above onto the canvas, which is on the floor or on a wall, and the rest is gravity doing its magic. There is a lot to experiment with the fusion of colours in this technique. Try it in your garden or garage and you will see how much fun you will have. After all, you are even left with your own piece of art for your living room.

Dripping

As the name suggests when dripping the artist splashes paint on to the canvas without touching it with the tool utilized in the process. As in the pouring technique, you can use different colours and create new ones by stratifying them.

Painting with whatever object inspires you

Well, in the end, art is all about creativity. You never know what object might inspire you and in the modern world of today, your artwork would be valued no matter the technique used. There are no boundaries and this is what makes this world exciting. You can see paintings with real fruits and vegetables in them, or skittles, or Oreos, or cat fur, or plastic… or whatever.
