Ferrum Receives Grant from Pocket Network Foundation to Build Bridge — Pocket Network Joins the Iron Alliance
Ferrum Network will be building a white-label token bridge for Pocket Network to be able to bridge POKT to wPOKT. Ferrum will also be aiming to utilize Pockets highly touted RPC infrastructure beginning in Q1!

Pocket Network Cross-Chain Token Bridge
The grant that we have received from the Pocket Network Foundation will fund the development of what our friends at Pocket and us at Ferrum anticipate to be a groundbreaking and massively utilized piece of technology — the Pocket Network Cross-Chain Token Bridge.
For those of you that are not aware of Pocket Network, they have quietly been building one of the most robust RPC infrastructures in the space.
They have built their own blockchain which is where their native token POKT resides. However, in an effort to incentivize more liquidity and increase token utility, they will now be going cross-chain via their wPOKT token. Ferrum’s bridging tech will be the conduit that allows them to do so.

Ferrum to Utilize Pocket Network’s RPC Infrastructure
What initially attracted Ferrum to Pocket Network was their core product — their decentralized RPC infrastructure. One of the final pieces to a more complete and decentralized industry is a mass-adopted version of decentralized RPC infrastructure. Believe it or not, the current solutions in place are quite centralized. Instead of deploying to a single service provider, paying absurd fees for random outages and leaked data, tap into Pocket’s trustless API protocol and route your requests to 1000’s of independent full nodes. Available for all major blockchain networks.
We’d like not only to decentralize our own RPC infrastructure but also to be a part of Pocket’s grander vision of decentralizing this sector as a whole. We will look to move toward Pocket’s RPC solutions during Q1 of 2022.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Pocket Network. Currently, POKT has 9k+ Nodes, Billion + Weekly Relays, 20+ Networks, and things are just getting started. The world has yet to fully realize their true value and we look forward to being first movers with them.
