In pursuit of inclusive AI
Yesterday Maria Minaricova appeared on a panel at the Barclays Eagle Lab Incubator in Cambridge to discuss Fetch.ai’s work at the forefront of AI technology. One of the topics covered was the potential for companies to mitigate against biases to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

Upcoming events
Blockchain for Europe meetings (Brussels, 9–11 December)
Fetch.ai co-founded Blockchain for Europe and will be represented next month by head of business development Maria Minaricova. Maria will be meeting newly elected MEPs in the Belgium capital to discuss the exciting possibilities made available by new technologies and the way they can be implemented to improve the lives of EU citizens.
This week President-elect of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen spoke about the need for the EU to grasp the opportunity presented by AI and blockchain technology as “digitalization will enable us to handle resources more effectively and more efficiently”. The president-elect outlined the need to utilize the 85% of non-personal data that is currently overlooked. Fetch.ai, as part of Blockchain for Europe, will help the EU to realise this ambition.
Technology Update
The team have been working hard finalizing next week’s Aries tech release, which will include a number of machine learning features.
Statistics
This week, excluding merges, 12 authors have pushed 28 commits to the main branch and 29 commits to all branches. On the main branch, 163 files have changed and there have been 5,296 additions and 2,756 deletions. See all updates.
