Fetch.ai and Datarella Launch Microbility Marketplace Creating An Incentive Scheme for Sustainable Urban Mobility
The MOBIX Token, a token on top of the native Fetch.ai ledger, will incentivize the use of micromobility services in metropolitan areas

The marketplace offers solutions to help accelerate the technical innovation of micromobility-related services for the future.
The global population is estimated to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, with almost 68% of the world predicted to reside in urban areas. With the increase in population, Micromobility services such as e-scooters and bicycles have emerged as a solution to transportation control and urban environmental concerns. The MOBIX Microbility Marketplace has been designed to incentivize global citizens to play a greater role in becoming a part of that solution. It rewards users for utilizing micromobility services aimed at reducing urban congestion, smart cities initiatives, and reducing pollution.
The MOBIX Marketplace aims to connect micromobility service and infrastructure providers with end-users and professional users of micromobility in order to solve the transportation challenge in metropolitan areas. Utilizing Fetch.ai’s distributed ledger technology, MOBIX users can earn MOBIX Miles by recording their micromobility trips. MOBIX Miles can then be converted into MOBIX Tokens which can be used for future micromobility trips, or traded at cryptocurrency exchanges. In this way, urban residents receive a financial reward for using micromobility, driving sustainability initiatives and contributing to the growth of micromobility industry at large.
