Fetch.ai features at the Blockchain for Europe Summit

Regulators and industry experts attend the summit in the European Parliament

On Wednesday 5 February, Fetch.ai co-organized and participated at the Blockchain for Europe Summit at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Our head of business development Maria Minaricova featured on a panel alongside John Calian, Isabelle Vandoorne, Nik Scharmann, Marta Belcher and Henna Virkkunen MEP. Together they discussed how blockchain technology can optimize mobility in the approaching IoT era.

The event also featured numerous European policymakers and industry leaders. These included Claudia Gamon MEP, Pēteris Zilgalvis, Eva Kaili MEP, Matthew Roszak (Bloq), Jason Kelley (IBM), Dirk Schrad (Deutsche Bundesbank), Jan Ceyssens (DG FISMA), Manmeet Singh (EMURGO, Cardano Foundation) and Jutta Steiner (Parity Technologies), to name but a few.

They exchanged ideas on topics such as decentralization, tokenization and the wider benefits of adopting AI and blockchain technology. Among the recurring themes of the summit was the need to ensure regulation empowers innovation and that we seize the opportunities the technology enables.
