Matt McDonnell joins Fetch.AI as a senior research engineer

We are very happy to announce Matt McDonnell is the latest addition to the Fetch.AI team. He joins us as a senior research engineer.

Originally from Australia, Matt moved from undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia to postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford after being awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to study for a DPhil in the Ion Trap Quantum Computing Group. His DPhil research and post-doctoral work combined a mix of experimental atomic and laser physics with theoretical modeling and numerical simulation.

After moving into industry, Matt applied his modeling and development skills to a range of different roles. These include working as a technical consultant at MathWorks as well as quantitative development and analyst positions at Fidelity Worldwide Investment. Matt has also worked as a data scientist at fashion tech startup Metail and as a development specialist at HSBC.

Matt is looking forward to combining his mathematical modelling, finance, and software engineering skills to develop the Fetch.AI network.
