Fetch.AI is growing fast. Today we’re delighted to announce Marcin Abram has joined the company as Machine Learning Scientist.

Marcin received an MSc in Physics from Jagiellonian University in Kraków in 2011. He also gained a BSc in Computer Science in 2012 and completed his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 2016. Marcin’s doctoral research explored topics on coherence and emergent behaviour in quantum systems.

As an educator and advocate for the Open Source movement, Marcin will fit in well at Fetch.AI. During his PhD, he revamped Jagiellonian University’s programme for gifted school students to help them take their studies beyond the standard curriculum. This led to several students achieving finalist status in the Polish National Physics Olympiad.

From 2016, Marcin worked as a machine learning engineer at TypeScore, a start-up in London, where he built technology to find, extract and analyse publicly available business data. The resulting system generated risk scores from unstructured and noisy data that matched or exceeded the accuracy of industry-standard risk assessments.

Marcin is an active member of the PyData community, with specialist knowledge of programming (Python and C++), machine learning and neural networks. At Fetch.AI, he will be utilising this expertise to focus on machine learning applications for modelling autonomous economic agents in distributed ledgers. We are excited to have him join our growing team.
