Originally from Bury St Edmunds, Tom spent time living in Singapore and Australia before studying Information Systems Management and Innovation at Warwick Business School. Tom is joining us during his summer break and he will return to Warwick next month to study for a postgraduate degree in Big Data and Digital Futures. He recently received the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies’ bursary award for excellence.
Tom gained first class honours for his undergraduate dissertation advising modern businesses on how to successfully implement new technologies to gain competitive advantage. His research interest is predominantly centred on the use of blockchain in the energy industry, with the aim of integrating more renewable energy into smart grids.
Tom is passionate about new technologies and is really excited to see how blockchain, AI and multi-agent systems are going to revolutionize the landscape of tomorrow.
Outside of work, Tom is doing a charity skydive to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind. In his spare time, he is president of Warwick Futsal, captain of his football team and a passionate Arsenal fan.
