Fetch.ai, a Cambridge-based artificial intelligence lab, announced today that Edward FitzGerald has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Fetch.ai with Jonathan Ward joining the board of Fetch.ai advisors.
In his new role, Edward will be responsible for transitioning the company’s operations from research to product delivery and improve services while highlighting technological competitiveness. Fetch.ai’s focused technology team will aim to bring in energy to propel Fetch.ai into its next phase of growth. Additionally, he hopes to continue securing talents with top-notch development capabilities, contributing to a desirable organizational culture for engineers and developers.

Edward has been with Fetch.ai for 4 years, he joined Fetch.ai from Nokia Bell Labs where he was researching consensus protocols. Initially, he led the development of the core Fetch.ai Ledger systems but for the last couple of years his role expanded to being responsible for the wider Engineering organization.
