Few and Far is the first-ever NFT + DeFi marketplace on NEAR Protocol which rewards users for participating. The Few and Far platform is designed to bring together the best experiences that both NFT Marketplaces and DeFi have to offer — a one-stop destination on NEAR Protocol.
The platform features an all-inclusive platform available to carry out almost everything related to NFTs seen on third-generation layer-1 blockchains. Few and Far also enables users to earn rewards for trading NFTs. This combination will create exponential growth in creators, collectors, and traders within the network. What’s Next?
The Few and Far platform will be launching on NEAR Protocol’s native blockchain in Q2 of 2022 and will offer core NFT marketplace features such as NFT trading, live auctions, and a launchpad, in addition to innovative DeFi protocols such as farming. The marketplace will also expand into industry sub-verticals including Few and Far Gaming and Music.
The project plans to scale its approach by making the platform EVM compatible through Aurora Network’s layer-2 solution later this year.
Who’s Building Few and Far?
Founded by former builders on the likes of Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, and more recently, Solana, the team is setting out to integrate the best of the both worlds: A best-in-class marketplace UX and also DeFi protocols.
By utilizing some of the world’s most powerful search infra, down to implementing on-chain standards like NEAR’s Fungible Token Metadata Standard, Few and Far’s technical architectures is designed in mind with next-gen blockchain speed, scalability, and security on NEAR Protocol.
Few and Far has partnered with the NEAR Foundation as part of its $800 million grants program to bring the product to market. The team is also raising a private round of funding from some of the world’s leading blockchain venture capital firms.
